Maria Shriver Buys $10 Million Mansion Near Schwarzenegger's Home {PopEater}
Jul 7th 2011 10:54PM I try not to judge and believe one "reaps what they sow", but at times it can be hard. hehe As for me, I just tell them, "before you judge others, clean out your own closets". God knows I need my closet cleaned, even though I've been out of it seems, forever...... ;)
A Gift From a Friend Helped Chris Lose 135 Pounds {That's Fit}
Feb 23rd 2011 8:29AM LOVE this inspirational story! Yes, I have been there and do know what it is. I lost a total of 125 pounds and have kept it off for 4 years now. No, it was not a miracle diet. There is no miracle diet nor a miracle medication. It is strictly determination and willpower, along with being much more active. I knew at my age (now, 51) it would be much tougher as I got older. It will always be a lifestyle change, but thankful that I have been able to make that change!
New Orleans, Still a Forgotten City {BV Black Spin}
Aug 29th 2009 8:37AM NOLA is a city I fell in love with, over 45 years ago. I grew up visiting the city annually, and still make two pilgrimages there each year. It broke my heart to see the wrath of Katrina, as it has many in the world. Loving the ambiance, and the history of the amazing city, I at first, was shallow in being so thankful the French Quarter, CBD, and Garden District were mainly spared, BUT, that is not New Orleans. The people are, with their own personal cultures, histories, and yes, are the sole heart of the city! It is a great thing that the above areas of the city were spared total loss, in that these areas were able to bring in the returning tourist industry relatively faster than could have been, so as to pump needed economy back in. I returned back the following year of the hurricane, returning every year since, and see those areas are almost unaffected by that disaster now. My hope is that now, some of these monies will divert to the important part of the area to help it return as closely as possible. The New Orleans Community needs it's citizens; the one's who makes NOLA what NOLA is.
Major Props Store Closing Down, Planning Huge Auction {Luxist}
Jun 23rd 2009 11:05PM With the economy as it is, it is understandable that this would be
another type of business that would suffer. Too many areas to list
for all the failures, of course, and most, more important than
another. The motion picture/television industry has provided the
world such entertainment, and this entertainment has been at times,
the perfect escape from a normal person's life, for those short
moments. Much more importantly, it has even provided inspiration to
dream. Memorabilia from this medium is a part of history. I do hope
that those lucky enough to obtain this memorabilia will appreciate
some of this preservation of Americana, at least, a bit. More and
more, museums of all types are disappearing quickly, in which, I
personally am saddened by this. Of course there are far more
important issues facing the world, the ecomomy, and the people. That
is common sense. I do just hope that too much preservation of history
will not be lost into oblivion.

Burton Dumps Carrey for Depp -- Smart Man {Cinematical}
Jun 16th 2006 3:33PM I have always been a great fan of motion pictures, be it newer releases, or the classics of Golden Hollywood. The comparison of actors is an accepted norm, though, opinions differ greatly among all. Being a fan of both, Mr. Carrey, and, Mr. Depp, it would be hard to choose the best for the starring role of this new Tim Burton epic. Both actor's amazing talents hold their own, though, I seem to personally enjoy Johnny Depp's portrayals of character roles, more. He truly seems to transform himself into the most remarkable adaptation of the characters he portrays, leaving the viewer to often forget who is the real person, upon that silver screen. With being a great admirer of these two talented actors, plus, the projects of Mr. Burton's, I truly look forward to sitting down with a tub of popcorn, and enjoying that magical journey I'm about to take......
