Jan 2nd 2012 3:09PM Children are a product of their environment. If parents smoke, there is an acceptance of the fact and the children are brought up to believe it is ok. If parents are drug addicts or alcoholics, the influence upon the children is appalling and wrong. And, if mommy and daddy are of the same sex, then it is only natural for them to assume that this is normal. That is exactly what GLBT groups would want. They want to be accepted as normal, which they definitely ARE NOT. These people are sick. They do not need same-sex marriage. They need psychiatric help!!! Same sex partners cannot have children naturally. Nature entended it that way.

Sep 18th 2010 5:34PM Well, I cannot afford it, so I might as well go ahead and criticize what I could never own anyway! It is big and expensive. Certain aspects of it project that, however, I see a big, cold, not decorated well attempt at being grand. It is not warm, cozy or well planned out. Think for a second about where you would sit to relax and enjoy the house. I did not like the ceiling treatment in the bedrooms nor the furnishings. I believe with a little creativity, you could have a much more inviting, liveable home with much less square footage than this one; cheaper too!! Me, I live in a 5,500 square foot, three story house; 4 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms and an inviting lower level basement/entertainment center that opens out to a patio. I've got a fire pit and a gazebo. Original price was $490,000.00 plus enhancements I have made over the last 5 years. My taxes are $3,600.00 per year. I am damn satisfied and happy as a lark!

Sep 9th 2010 5:26PM The cause is good. The effect very likely won't be. Will folks throw on the brakes? Initially yes, but after having been exposed to it a number of times, ummm they may not. When a real child is in the street, there is that awful possibility that some dullard may, just for a moment, think it is another illusion. The result will not be what the initial purpose set out to achieve. This kind of smacks of the little boy who cried wolf. Another bad idea.

Jul 11th 2010 12:27PM This is news? I saw a guy walking a dog the other day. The dog took a dump on someone's lawn. The guy pulled out a plastic bag and actually picked up the poop. Compared to what the normal pet owners do, he is a hero. But like the off-duty cop story, this probably isn't notable news.

May 25th 2010 2:42AM This endowed thing is not all its cracked up to be. I am well endowed and have to be really careful not to go too deep or I'm likely to hurt my companion. I'd rather have less and be able to thrust to the hilt with no worry about hurting anyone. If someone shrieks in ectasy, well that's a good thing, but when they scream in pain it sure can ruin a moment. Oh, and don't anyone suggest anal sex. It just doesn't seem like the right hole to me.

Mar 4th 2010 8:49PM Are the parents wrong. Yes, they know it now! Did they do something incredibly stupid? Yes, but I don't think they should be fired. I think they should be reprimanded somehow. I was raised on a farm, drove a tractor when I was 8 years old. I got a rifle when I was 9. Shortly thereafter I shot a hole in the family automobile (was aiming at a critter & forgot the garage was in the background!) Pretty dumb, but my parents didn't fire me. I think I am OK now. Might have been different though if someone had been sittin' in the car!!!

Mar 4th 2010 8:13PM I have never needed a police officer (Thank God!!!). However, my opinion is that many of them are losers hiding behind a badge. I was in the military, past my ETS, on my way home (on a troop carrier ship) when I was accosted by a buck green 2nd lieutenant. Quarters on a troop carrier are very limited and I was sleeping on the bottom rack of one of those 4 high bulkhead pipe framed bunk beds. I was not even aware there was an "officer" present. He made me wake up, get out of bed (in my shorts), stand at attention and salute him, while he shouted at me (with less than fresh breath). Any officer that had a brain would have known better. He was likely fresh out of ROTC and needed someone bark at for all the indignities he had to go through in his "training". It was my own common sense and restraint (and, of course a likely courts martial!) that kept me from administering appropriate response!!! I am sure there are some good police officers and I believe there are many quality military officers too, but, unfortunately, there are some who turn into "Mr. Hyde" when they don the uniform. It is probably the only way they could ever get any respect. They would be shivering cowards without it. I love my country and have respect for the law, but I don't much go for crass, ignorant authority figures. Excuse me. I have to go take this chip off my shoulder!!!!!!!!!
