Hartland, Wisconsin, Estate of the Day {Luxist}
May 14th 2008 4:57PM I just moved from the Hartland / Lake Country area of Wisconsin. It is a nice area with lots of heirs from families with names like Schlitz, Pabtz, Wurlitzer, Blatz (you get the picture).
@mjk - as far as decorating sense is concerned...sadly very few homes in that area show the way similar houses would in more metro areas of the country. The problem is that they are outdated and a little out of touch with emerging trends.

Diamond-studded iPod shuffle to be auctioned in London {Engadget}
Mar 15th 2008 9:01AM I'll bet Sir Paul McCartney's ex Heather Mills will be there bidding for something stylish that she can jam out to her favorite bands from the 60's and 70's with in style.
Wall Street Journal Goes Glossy {Luxist}
Mar 13th 2008 12:00PM Like putting lipstick on a pig. If a good percentage of potential readers for this new, glossy edition of WSJ in the $300K HH income range work in the tech industry or at least have daily access to a computer, how likely are they to want their news in print form vs. online? Seems like a wasteful and high risk proposition.

Orleans House, Estate of the Day {Luxist}
Mar 12th 2008 3:21PM Growing up in CT and vacationing in the Cape almost every summer, it is easy to see the appeal of this location and why it is priced so seemingly high. If you were to run comps on other homes in the area, it would be easy to see that this one is somewhat of a steal (even in today's market).
Boston Acoustics takes a shot with Duo-i iPod boombox {Engadget}
Mar 12th 2008 8:41AM That's great and I'll bet that being a BA device, it sounds awesome. Now I just have to figure out what to do with the 3 iPod dock / clock radios that I already have around my house because companies started coming out with these things several years ago.
I wonder what has taken BA so long to come up with this one (?).
thanks,

Kelowna, Estate of the Day {Luxist}
Mar 10th 2008 7:08PM sure, it could use a makeover, but consider the things that you can't change, such as the waterfrontage...that is where I see the real value.
Kelowna, Estate of the Day {Luxist}
Mar 10th 2008 1:51PM This is a beautiful home in a beautiful part of North America. $2.2M CDN seems like a steal for this one.
