AOL Straw Poll: Feb. 4-11 {Politics Daily}
Feb 7th 2008 12:04AM Wow...vote for Hillary because she is a woman...no questions asked? I am sorry, but I must ask questions. Vote for Obama because he is black. Go for Huckabee because he is a Christian? Are these the criteria for our national leader? The color of their skin, gender, religion?? Dig deeper people. Open your eyes and see what is actually going on. At least do some independent research. Aren't you all tired of being pigeon-holed into voting for the candidates that are being presented to you, instead of looking at all the candidates? Do you know that there were approximately 23 candidates altogether when this all started? How many were actually mentioned in the news? Perhaps we should stop relying on the information that is filtered to us and do our own research and...heaven forbid...vote for the candidate that we actually agree with, if not 100%, at least mostly. Big picture! Our country is in trouble...well, at least most of us are. The wealthy elite who are in control are just fine, and of course they want things to continue as they are. It is my opinion that the ONLY candidate to save our country is Ron Paul. Integrity, plain and simple. Just look at his web site...that is all I ask. Don't just hear "wing-nut" and write him off. Check him out. If you still thing he is a wing-nut, so be it, but at least determine that for yourself.
AOL Straw Poll: Jan. 14-21 {Politics Daily}
Jan 19th 2008 6:20PM Well, I only read a few comments, but if wanting our country to be run by a leader who actually looks to the constitution for guidance makes me a wingnut, then so be it. I support Ron Paul as a man of integrity, consistency and a respect for the country our founding fathers established. If you don't know a lot about him, do America, and yourself, a favor and at least do a bit of research. You might be happily surprised.
Oprah's New Plane {Luxist}
Jun 5th 2006 10:32PM I am not sure what to think of Oprah sometimes. I do think she has gotten a bit flaunty lately, but she does do a whole lot of good for a whole lot of people. Who cares if she feels the need to say "Look what I did!"? Generally speaking, I think she is a decent person. But she is also a Hollywood person... a very powerful Hollywood person who has some big star traits (look at me...look what I have...look what I can do...etc...). I do get the sense from time to time that she is more interested in helping black people than people in general, and in helping females more than males. Even if that is the case, who cares? At least she is supporting very good causes that she believes in and helping lots of people.
