Feb 1st 2012 2:24PM Unless there is an agreement in the lease that specifically bans children from living in the residence, both the landlord and the neighbor are barking up the wrong tree. It sounds to me that the offended neighbor should demand that either the landlord make corrections to the property to diminish or prevent the noise from escaping the residence, or provide them with another unit and pay moving expenses. Otherwise these people are free to allow there child to behave in an age appropriate manner.

Jan 31st 2012 7:12PM Don't be sorry. Nobody likes to be used, and it doesn't matter who's doing the using. After I cut my mother off from my finances there was a long time that I heard nothing from or about her. It was the best time of my life! At the same time though, it forced her to face herself and take responsibility for her own life. That was something her parents had never done. Years later, she was finally able to bring herself to contact me and begin rebuilding our relationship. By the time she was terminally ill with cancer, I was the only one of her four children that she trusted to take care of her. Things work out as they are supposed to when you step back and let them.

Jan 31st 2012 6:57PM Hold your ground Tracy! Nothing corrupts like money. It's not always the one with the money that's been corrupted though. I began working at 15. By the time I was 17 I was working two jobs to save money for college. Three weeks before high school graduation I discovered that my mother had used my savings account to make the down payment on a fancy new car she said she `deserved'! She spent the whole summer promising me that the money would be replaced in time for the registration deadline that July. You can guess what happened. The maddening thing though is after that incident she had the nerve to come to me several more times for money that she was `owed'. It wasn't until I cut all ties with her that I got my life and my self-esteem back. It was the best thing I ever did.

It's only a matter of time before Mexico completely implodes and the entire country falls into civil war. Then we're going to have a truly nasty war right in our own back yard. Like it or not, we are going to have to get tough with the Mexican government, and tell them to get control over their own people, or we're going to have to do it for them. Then we'll have to be ruthless.

Apr 12th 2011 1:47PM I'm not a fan of her music, but ouch! It's actually a wonder that this hasn't happened sooner and that she didn't hurt herself. Those costumes, particularly her shoes, have always looked dangerous to me. I'd never let my girls wear shoes like that. I hope she's o.k. though. Sometimes it takes several days for injuries to make themselves apparent.

I also wish they would consider raising the lid a bit, and adding the bowed roof glass that my Dad's old bus had. I have great memories of traveling through the Rockies and being able to see the mountain tops through those.
