Jul 19th 2011 1:34AM In December of 1969 we stopped at South of the Border on the way from Athens, GA to Virginia. While washing my hands in the restroom, I removed a beautiful old blue onyx ring which had belonged to my grandmother and put it on the sink. Miles down the road I remembered the ring and we turned back sure it would be gone. It wasn't where I left it so absolutely heartbroken I went to a register in the store and asked if someone had turned it in. After asking me to describe it, the lady behind the register smiled and handed me my ring which will someday belong to my granddaughter. Say what you will about South of the Border--I for one have only good memories of the place!

May 20th 2011 12:48AM While I wouldn't want to nurse an infant in public because to me that is private, it can be done discretely depending on the circumstances. However there is no way a toddler can be nursed discretely and some women nurse their toddlers much to long--I'm thinking of a woman who considered herself to be very "with iit" and was still nursing her five year old. It seems to me that's a good way to raise a warped child.

Apr 30th 2011 1:29AM I thought the Queen looked lovely in yellow, perfect for a spring wedding. I was very disappointed in the Prime Minister's wife, though. She looked as if she was going to work in an office--so out of place. And as for the Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, they both looked outrageous (that's fashion?). As for the Kate and Pippa--both pure perfection!
Apr 20th 2011 3:18PM She looks perfect. Why do people automatically think "anorexia" when a young woman is slender? She's young, active and doesn't pork out at the table. I believe it was the Duchess of Windsor who said, "A lady can't be too rich or too thin."
Apr 13th 2011 6:05PM Tara, how about putting all that bull back in the pen?
Feb 4th 2011 1:55AM I'm a woman, and wouldn't think of any of those brands they say women prefer. Have been in a Target once and didn't like it--a lot of cheap clothes displayed badly! I don't shop Amazon and drove a BMW once when my Mercedes station wagon was in for service and the Beemer was the only available loaner. It drove like our Jeep and we call that the "Jolt Wagon"! Needless to say I was happy to get my Benz back.
Jan 28th 2011 11:27PM I remember selling Girl Scout cookies when I was a Brownie about sixty years ago, and Thin Mints were the favorite. Now I look forward not only to the Thin Mints, but also the Tagalongs--yum! I feel sorry for Keny if he can see no pleasure in life.
