Ann Coulter, Michelle Malkin & My Skip Gates Question {Politics Daily}
Jul 31st 2009 10:07AM C'mon Lynn.
There is a long, documented history dating back for decades of Presidential staffers asking friendly journalists to ask questions different from the main topic of a Presidential press conferences.
The purpose is so the president can address a topic to a national audience or send a message on a piece of legislation or send a public message to a foreign nation...friend or foe.
In return the journalist would be promised a first crack at some future story or an exclusive interview with the President.
1. Sweet acting like this is an unheard of practice makes me think twice about accepting her claim.
2. The fact that whe was the very last reporter to ask a question and Obama made it a point to save her for last casts further suspision on her claims.
3. The fact that the White House would make a point to call her in advance to make sure she was going to be there is a bit odd. Is that a common practice? Wouldn't the White House want to know what she was going to ask by making contact with her in such an unusual manner?
But, it doesn't bother me if it were a planted question. It happens all the time.
The real problem is the President botched the answer badly in a most unpresidential manner.
Joe Montana Sues Ex-Wife {Fanhouse NFL Blog}
May 9th 2008 5:09PM Kim Moses was Montana's HS sweetheart from PA and the first of Montana's three wives. They married when Joe was at Notre Dame.
Moses was hired to work in the ND Athletic Department. Her salary paid for all of Joe's living expenses while they were together at ND.
Kim remained behind in South Bend when the ND FB team played in Miami Montana's senior year. She filed for divorce shortly after the team returned from that trip. I wonder what was in the divorce papers?
Don't know the current financial circumstances of Moses, but good grief...the stuff she sold is so trivial and hardly worth a lawsuit.
There may be something else Montana is worried about coming out and by filing the lawsuit is sending a big threatening message to Moses, his second wife or someone else via this lawsuit.
Moses never got a penny of Montana's NFL money as they were divorced before he hit it big. Now, over a trivial matter and obscure memorabilia, he forces her to pay for a lawyer, court costs, and may win a financial award from her while he lives in a million dollar(s)mansion in SF.
Talk about screwing someone over twice, three times or is it four times. Do I hear five?
Hopefully one of the cable networks will pick up on this, put Moses on TV, and make Montana look like a fool.
Former NBA Star Facing Foreclosure {Luxist}
Feb 15th 2008 11:13AM I agree.
For a so-called news organization to equate irresponsible multi-millionaires who buy things and out of arrogance don't pay for them with the plight of every day Americans going through tough economic times is pathetic.
If a star athlete makes $14M a year...even after taxes, agent fees, and 'taking care of his family'...he can still afford to buy $400K house with CASH.
