Jerry Springer takes the money and runs to . . . Connecticut? {Daily Finance}
Mar 16th 2009 8:32PM I voted on the opinion poll as I occasionally will stop & watch jerry while "surfing", but am not a regular viewer or jerry, maury, or any of the other daytime "shock talk" shows, not even rachel!!! Oprah & Ellen on occasion as they are on later in the day.
It doesn't matter if it's a Catholic church, mosque, Baptist church, synagog or a building of anyother faith. I think it would be a disgrace to establish a business that can blasphime the faiths of others, the sorrows and pains of others and make light of what this sinful life on earth is about. Granted, it's not all bad, or we would already be living in hell, but this sure isn't heaven!!!
Think about the different types of people that will be visiting this apparent quiet community. Have the city and county governments considered anything but the money? Additional employees - law enforcement, health care, maintenance......????????? It all sounds pretty sweet but ya gotta look at the loooooonnnnnnnnggggg term.
What Do You Call a Carbonated Soft Drink? {Urlesque}
Feb 14th 2009 11:57AM Wow! A subject that can hardly be abused by foul mouthed people!!!! I grew up in No. Ill., close to both Chgo. & WI. I have always said "I'm gonna go get a POP", NEVER SODA. I now live in CO almost 30 yrs. and with so many newer "transplants" it's really hard to say what is the most common. I do recall that in IL we would meet with another family, kids our age, the parents grew up in WI, who always called pop soda. The funny thing is that the one kid would only drink uncarbonated orange drink!!!!!!!!!!!
Trying To Cope With Anxiety? {AOL Hot Searches}
Feb 3rd 2009 8:17AM It's a shame that some of you have to use this as a source to "sell" your miracle products. It would be nice to just share experiences about anxiety and depression rather than weight loss, dog food, etc. We all probably have other health issues, weight, exercise.... but this is about anxiety and what we might be able to do about it. The health care "professional" talking about spelling, check again, you flunked.
This site reminds me why I don't go to web sites like this. They are worthless.
Jon and Kate - Are they good enough parents for TV? {ParentDish}
Aug 2nd 2008 1:51PM Mr. Sinason, what are your credentials to judge. Are you the father of multiples? There has to be some way to maintain order and cleanliness in that home and between Jon, Kate and their wonderful nannies and camera crew, it seems that they have found the solution. Look at those children. They are HAPPY, well behaved, clean, well fed, AND totally LOVED!!!!! If Kate is obsessed, which I don't think she is, it would be in a good way, because it's all for her family and is showing the LOVE she has for all of them.
So Mr. Smarty, talk about something you REALLY know about.
Jamie Oliver: Killer of cute baby chicks - VIDEO {AOL TV}
Jun 2nd 2008 7:03PM I really don't get it. There are probably almost as many baby chicks killed at the hands of humans at Easter as anyother time. What is the big deal? Are you going to adopt those male chicks, start a chick farm for abandonded or soon to be gassed male chicks? What is the point here? Crack an egg and there is the beginning of a chick there, what are you gonna do about that?
Many of you have never lived on a farm where your livelihood depends on what you can raise for you and your family. Eggs, chicken, pork, lamb, beef plus all the vegetables and fruit you were able to grow in the climate you lived in. Plus preserving all that bounty. There was no thought to vegans, vegetarians - you ate what there was and worked to get it to the table.
You have no idea, and feel sorry for the handling of animals that were given to us by the Good Lord as stewards of the whole earth.
How to Spot a Fake Anything {Shopping Articles Blog}
May 17th 2008 12:24AM Why is it that some people, even tho they have so much money, need to spend so much on "status" items such as LV, Coach, DB and all those other designer fashions. I think it's a kick to wear/use "knock-offs"!! When visiting a friend in Hong Kong, I bought a jacket at a shop in a huge mall in the New Territories that those crafty Chinese "wheeler-dealers" claimed was LV. I knew better, the price was too good to be true. The lining looked liked LV logo fabric and I thought "what the heck". Give the girls at work at "kick". The sizing was off and most obvious was that the label was sewn inside, upside down!!!!!!!!!!! Besides that, on every floor were young boys selling "Viagra" to anyone.
I used to think that claiming ownership to some designer items, whether new or used, was a goal of mine. WHO REALLY CARES??????
If I had that kind of money, maybe I'd get a couple of nice handbags, shoes and clothing to wear for very special occasions and then just some nice, well made classic clothing with lots of blue jeans that fit, for my real life. As a treat, I'd go to the spa once in a while and then I would go to some special ed schools to read to the kids & bring special treats, find a dog that would be good to visit people in nursing homes, children's hospitals and give time to volunteer work for breast cancer research. The list could go on.......
Think about it, you might be paying $10,000 for something that cost $2,000 to make??????????
Is that a frog in your lettuce or are you just happy to see me? {Slashfood}
Jan 26th 2008 8:30PM Rose 1/25 or26/08 5:46 pm
Are you nuts? Worried about frog PooP? Where do you think our produce comes from, some pristine garden with no weeds, bugs or small animals that might leave a sign they've been there? You too, leave your mark when you "visit" places. I just recommend the sensible thing, wash things before you eat them or even before you store them in the fridge.

New beer cocktail on the market {Slashfood}
Jan 15th 2008 4:19PM This is really not something new. Maybe Clamato hasn't always been used, but then Clamato is not appreciated by many people because of the clam juice.
I was introduced to "Canadian Beer" or "Red Beer" when I first moved to Colorado over 20 years ago. It is a very pleasant change from regular beer. I love it!!!
Survey Finds High-Priced Wine Tastes Better {Luxist}
Jan 15th 2008 4:03PM It's not only the wine, but the proper wine glass. The glass makes all the difference in the world when drinking a good bottle of wine. I went to a wine tasting of Australian wines with Riedel wine glasses also being promoted. We drank the wine from "restaurant" type wine glasses and then from the Riedel glasses with a significant difference in the aroma and taste. It was amazing!!! To enjoy wine, it's more than just popping the cork, not like Boone's Farm Strawberry Hill of high school time!!! lol
