Wayne Newton's Plane Left To Gather Dust In A Michigan Airport {Luxist}
Feb 6th 2010 9:09AM That A/C has been sitting at that airport for nearly 6 years. When the interior re-furbish was done he never paid. It sat for so long untill it went up for auction. Someone from his "camp" paid $50,000 on the bill and it sat for a little while longer. The maintenance part never got done due to him not paying for the interior bill. The company that did the interior and that was supposed to due the maintenance on the A/C is a top notch company for interior, maintenance and avionics. They are a certified repair station for Fokker f-28's. They have re-furbished many other high profile customer A/C. The engines on that A/C are timed out and the fuel bladders in the wings are rotted. I'm pretty sure that $700,000 he was paying was just for the full interior re-furbish. Maybe he should not have bought a Airplane that is so expensive to own.

Feb 12th 2008 11:43AM Out of all the bitchin on here about service and all the money the airlines make. Blah Blah Blah. Airlines DO NOT make bank on every flight. A flight from ny to ca the company may bank about 2000. IF that. You guys don't realize how much fuel costs, How much the shitty food your eating costs, or how much it cost to deice an aircraft. Fuel cost anywhere from 4.22 all the way up to 6.00 a gallon. It depends on what state your in. Jeta fuel where i am we charge 4.28 a gallon and we are the cheapest on the feild. Before you start spouting off about how expensive it is to fly, think about how much money the airlines DO NOT make when your bitchin.
