Britney ... Did We Miss the Signs? {AOL Video Blog}

Jan 8th 2008 7:17AM Britney "complains" about the photographers ... and then goes out clubbing, getting drunk/stoned and proving to the world she's not wearing underwear. She does not WANT "the media" to leave her alone. She's be a waitress in a one room apartment if "the media" left her alone. Trashy is all she has. Trashy is her meal ticket.

When adoption doesn't 'work out' {ParentDish}

Dec 21st 2007 7:45AM >Adoption doesn't work 100% of the time but from
>my observation, it works far more often than not

And you have adopted precisely HOW MANY of these kids with physical and mental problems? It looks pretty from a distance ...much less so up close in many cases.

In addition to the cases people are talking about here, how about the cases where the adoptive or foster parents are abusers? Just had a case here where after months and years of mental and physical abuse the "mother" beat her foster child to death with a hammer and then the "father" dumped the body in a swamp.

It's whatever he or she wants it to be. It could be the Washington DC phone book. The ceremony you are talking about it is not official, it's a "photo op" of sorts.

A current Senator from Minnesota took the oath of office on a copy of the Koran.

John Quincy Adams took the presidential oath using a law volume instead of a Bible

Franklin Pierce affirmed the oath rather than swearing it with no Bible.

Herbert Hoover, citing his Quaker beliefs, also affirmed his oath in 1929 but did use a Bible.

Theodore Roosevelt didn't use the Bible in taking his first oath of office in 1901, but did in 1905.

>Christians aren't here to hurt you...

Sure doesn't seem that way to most non-Christians.

Luxury Hotels Lose The Bible {Luxist}

Dec 18th 2007 3:58PM If it's such an important part of your life, why aren't you carrying your OWN Bible. That way you could make your notes, mark your favorite passages, etc. You'd even have the version you like and not some other version you find less acceptable.

Dec 7th 2007 9:02AM Actually, Donald "came from" money. His family was wealthy and involved in New York real estate before he came along.
