Feb 9th 2011 2:12PM It is NOT time to desist from our National Anthem at sprots events or any events!!!!!!!.
It IS time to STOP getting these people who totally rewrite the tune and are so engrossed while they are rewriting and singing it that they forget the words.
Our anthem is beautiful. Our anthem is inspirational - when done correctly and as written. Think about when and where it was written and that should give you shivers.
How about NO celebreties singing it - they are the ones mucking it up!
I sing it as it is written at swim meets, horse racing meets etc etc. I am 66 years of age and my voice is stronger and more listenable to than these so called stars.
Let a non star do it and see how it should be done - with reverence. During the singing, my phone rang and several calls after stating my GOD that was awful - you should have sang it! Don't know about that - but SHE should not have!

This is because she feels like she has a platform with her equally obnoxious mates on the view. What a trio - (one) is OK. We have all been given free choice. What we do with that choice is between YOU and your MAKER. As for the Muslim thing - that came up - seems like she is Pro-Muslim and anti everything else.
