Mar 28th 2010 6:06PM I had my own business and when it slowed down so much I could not pay my bills and I asked Bank of America if they would refinance my first mortgage and add in the home equity loan. The amount on the first is a third of what the house is worth. They refused saying I did not make enough money. Well yeah. you think!!!!that is why I wanted the modification. Now I am thinking bankruptcy which I have tried not to do for over a year and hoped they would work with me but they keep saying NO. It is the banks fault that we are in this mess and they were supposed to help us. HELLO, WHERE IS THE HELP Mr. President said was coming????? There is always some excuse..
