TSA workers are blaming body scanners for cancer; D.C. public interest group calls for independent reviews {Gadling}

Jul 2nd 2011 3:44PM had the body scan in March because of a knee replacement. I guess if you want to fly this is what you have to to do. I did ask to see the exray and TSA said no but very politely.

TSA workers are blaming body scanners for cancer; D.C. public interest group calls for independent reviews {Gadling}

Jul 2nd 2011 3:40PM I remember that and thought it was so cool. My mom would never let me get my feet scanned because she did not trust the xray machine.

Survey Says: What Is the Most Annoying Office Behavior? {AOL Small Business}

Jun 29th 2011 6:57PM Texting and always talking on their cell. How on earth does one person have that much to say to another. When at work your mind should be on the job not about a friend or family's personal life. If you sneeze cover your mouth and use hand santizer. Other employee cubicles are off limits. Ok a silent fart can be an accident but a belch nahhh. As a woman I make sure that if I wear perfume it is extremely light,mostly I do not wear it because it does really offend people. Take a mint after a smoke break. I have no idea about this coupon business and where that fits into making your office a better place to work. And yes I agree that Girl Scout cookies should be sold or other school org for benefits to help the school. One does not have to buy anything. Shower daily,brush our teeth and wear clean clothes. Not all that hard.

Marisol Malibu Showcase Home For $17 million, Estate of The Day {Luxist}

Jan 24th 2011 11:38AM The place is lovely of course!! It just reminds me of a very upscale hotel and the warm cozy feeling of a home that is lived in just is not there. I know I will never own a house like this . The views are fantastic.

'Princess Boy,' 5, Loves Wearing Dresses, Inspires Mom to Publish Anti-Bullying Book {ParentDish}

Jan 4th 2011 11:56AM When I was about 5 or so I was really mad that I was not a boy. I had brothers and they got to do many more things than a young girl did back in the 50's. Of course this seriously pissed my mom off and I was dressed in dresses and pigtails. I still climbed trees and rode bikes and tried to keep up with all boy things. That is until the boy accross the street caught my eye one day and suddenly I was very glad I was a girl. The cool part was that I could even talk baseball with this guy. haha So, no I was not gay or a cross dresser just wanted to be able do something I did not have. I imagine that it is hard for a mother to watch her son dress in pink princess gowns,but then now it is not so hard to watch her daughter dress in blue jeans and sweatshirts..I imagine that he will move out of this stage soon enough and if he is gay then who cares. What I do not like is the mother staging her son for the publicity.If bullying is her issue and she wants to make this a cause to fight for then well and good but do not put your child out there for the world to see when he is this young.

SmackDown: Should Parents Give Gifts to Adult Children? {ParentDish}

Dec 5th 2010 9:39AM I would never stop giving to my children. I find that the presents I give I more in relation to what they really need. A new set of pots and pans,some gift cards. This is what they ask for and this is an easy way of helping out instead of just randomly buying stuff. I also find that my grown up children have stepped up the gift giving to Mom and Dad. No more little candles but ask what do we want or need. It goes both ways. I do not think there is a cutoff age. My 25 year old is in school working full time and paying not only for her schooling but an apt too. I figure I can give her the help she needs in guise of a Christmas present instead of just handing her money on any obscure day. I am sure that all Christmas' presents are not what they were of childhood and that our Christmas' are smaller,though now I have a grandchild so I get to go with the toy world again..But to stop giving.....never at any age

'Dancing With the Stars:' Who's Not Dancing in the Finale? {AOL TV}

Nov 18th 2010 6:29AM In a sad way I feel for Bristol. A teenage mom that had so much public focus at that time due to her mother accepting the nomination to be the Republican VP. Her boyfriend hung around long enough to get his moments of fame while Bristol tried to hold her little family together. Then he humilated her by announcing they were engaged and the family would be made strong and then a week later he recants all. He told stories of the Palin's life that were eaten up by the media. I guess when the invitation came from DWTS Bristol jumped at it to prove her own strength knowing very well that she is not a dancer. Has she improved weekly? Absolutely. Is there a some sort of voting that allows people to vote several times,I do not know because I do not vote. Even if Bristol won I would want to believe it was earned through her own hard work and not under the shadow of her mother. Remember when Heather McCartney danced with the stars and she was hated the minute she waltzed out. Why? Because she divorced Sir Paul and therefore she became a leper. This is what the press is trying to do to Bristol. Win or lose the girl has held up her head through some very trying times that most teenagers could not take and also remember she is just one of the large statistics of teenage moms. Let us not judge her for that or having to live under the shadow of her mom but judge her for DWTS and working hard to do her best.

Michelle Obama Wears Sweeping Red Dress at Phoenix Awards {Stylelist (Main)}

Sep 21st 2010 8:20AM The dress was lovely,classic in all ways and the First Lady looked stunning compared to many other first ladies. She was definitly an eye catcher. I sincerly hope that the speech the president made was not ignored for a beautiful woman. I guess that would not be the first time though. BTW not all of these stunning gowns worn(ex,Nancy Regan) were paid by tax payers. Many designers loan them or make them so that their product is seen in the national light. The current FIrst Lady and others that have followed are constantly asked to wear a new design by with a new designer or a established one. I used Nancy Regan as an example of one that was asked to wear many of her stunning gowns.
