Morgan Threewheeler gets official [w/video] {Autoblog}

Mar 3rd 2011 5:20PM WOW! Yes, it is cool indeed--but you guys do realize that this is a throwback, right?? Morgan built the original of this vehicle back in the 1930's.

Geneva 2011: 2012 Aston Martin Virage is more of a good thing {Autoblog}

Mar 2nd 2011 2:26PM Well, it certainly is beautiful; all Astons are. But if it only comes with paddle shifters and no manual option, then it won't be looking beautiful in my driveway. (That's if I were to win the lottery and could afford one in the first place, that is.)

Gold Necklaces You Can Wear Day In and Day Out {Shopping Articles Blog}

Feb 19th 2011 3:58PM As for what colors go best with silver or gold, what you like or can afford is most important, but in general, both metals work very well with highly saturated colors (bright reds, blues, greens, etc.). In my mind, gold doesn't work as well with gray clothing, and silver doesn't work as well with beiges.

Bud Selig to Examine Umpiring, Replay; Jim Joyce Call Will Not Be Changed {Fanhouse MLB Blog}

Jun 3rd 2010 7:23PM This is a total no-brainer. The guy had a perfect game. Mr. Selig, you are doing nobody a favor by being pigheaded on this. You are not doing anything to improve the game of baseball by denying this pitcher what he rightfully earned. The umpire admitted his mistake; now you must admit yours!

How will we pay for health care reform? An increase in Medicare tax {WalletPop}

Mar 19th 2010 1:49PM My husband and I are retired, but too young for Medicare. We have to buy our own health insurance, and it's becoming more expensive and harder to obtain each year. We pay thousands of dollars each year for minimal coverage. Without reform, we may not even be able to purchase health insurance at all next year. We quite simply cannot afford to get sick.

25 things vanishing in America, part 2: The stick shift {WalletPop}

Apr 6th 2009 3:44PM Most Americans, especially those who buy American cars, can't drive manuals, because they rarely get the opportunity any more. Back in the 50's the manufacturers made automatics "prestigious." Only poor folks drove manuals. At that time, automatics were considerably more expensive, so the only way they could get people to fork out the extra money was to basically tell them that they were losers if they didn't!

Hot Seat: Palin Reformer? {Politics Daily}

Sep 9th 2008 3:12PM If by "reformer," you mean reforming our rights, then I think she is. She supports intelligent design being taught in our schools, and she wishes to deny women the right to choose, no matter what the circumstances. As I've heard, she belongs to a church that also wants to "reform" gay people into straights. Apparently she and the entire Repblican party want to turn us all into evangelical Christians or at least be governed by their ideals.

GOP Convention Bounce Showing Up Early {Politics Daily}

Sep 6th 2008 5:08PM I'm fiscally conservative, long the bastion of the Republican Party, but the neo cons have redefined conservatism to encompass religious ideals that have no place in our government. Teach creationism in Sunday school, not public school. Let life be for the living. Do as your conscience tells you, and don't scream at me if I don't feel the same way on the issues as you do.

Best School Shows of All Time {Inside TV Blog}

Sep 1st 2008 4:03PM I was REALLY young when it was on, but "Our Miss Brooks" should certainly be on the list if "The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis" is. Eve Arden was great, and I think it was where Richard Crenna got his start.

Rumormill: Lexus LF-A... Stillborn? {Autoblog}

Aug 30th 2008 12:32PM I agree that $225,000 is a LOT of money to pay for a Toyota OR a Lexus, but it wouldn't hurt if Toyota could put out something for the driving enthusiasts out there. Since they dropped the Celica, they have nothing with sporty pretensions in their stable. I'm not asking for a return to the Supra--although it would be nice--but replacing one of their SUVs with something that would be fun to drive should be a no-brainer.
