Sprint: EVO 4G users getting Android 2.2 'in the near future' (Update: No upgrade for Moment, Hero) {Engadget}

Jun 25th 2010 3:46PM @benthe1 I've said it before but MOST people are too stupid to use real-multitasking ability on a smartphone. Just think about how many times you minimize shit and your grandma is like, "where did that go". Out of sight means closed for most people who don't visit engadget.

In making multitasking work this way, Apple prevents people from using their product and thinking, wow the battery on this sucks, the iPhone is slow and crappy. (even though it's their fault and not apples, see: android for the perfect example of this) I think it works fine and is a great implementation for this reason. If you need something else, get another phone.

Long story short: most people don't know how to properly use or care about multitasking and apple has found a way to give us the best of both worlds.
