Flying Car That Doesn't Fly Sells For Over $130,000 {Luxist}

Jan 26th 2008 9:26PM A practicle aerocar was designed and built by Molt Taylor back in the 40s or 50s. It was featured on the Bob Cummings Show in the 50s. One of the last remaining examples is on display at the EAA Museum in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. You can get a glimpse of it at www.airventuremuseum.org/virtual/spirit.asp. It's the yellow aircraft to the left of the Spirit of St. Louis.
During the annual Airventure convention the year it was donated to the museum, I believe it made several final flights. I do remember seeing it fly in the 70s or 80s.
