How to Start Running to Get in Shape {That's Fit Canada}
Jun 10th 2010 12:30PM I have been running regularly for over 15 years because I was a professional fighter. I hated running then, and I STILL hate it now. However,I force myself to run 5-7 days a week because I know it's the best and the most efficient way to stay/get in shape. So, I'm sorry to say....you might NEVER end up loving it, like me. I have been waiting all these years to achieve that "runner's high" , but it never happened. Part of the reason is that I have a bad left knee from blowing it out the ACL in 1986. It was never reconstructed so, it's bone-on-bone. The other reason is because I have arthritis pain in both knees from years of gymnastics, running, jumping rope, etc. I run both indoors on the treadmill and outdoors. So, running on the treadmill is easier on my knees. I look at the running portion ( 1 hour) of my daily workout as a part of "my job". I must get this done. So, after saying all that, my only tips are 1) to have good music....and 2) sometimes watching something on a tv screen could help pass the time. 3) Make sure you have RUNNING SHOES made for running and they are used no more than 6 months ( for regular runners) .... 4) stretch well before and after.

care of properly. All those faux fur and the cheap, disposable
clothing made of petroleum is fucking up the planet.

I am an athlete and it's cheaper than beef, less fat and high in protein. I also like caribou, venison, ostriche, and bison. What's the big deal?
