Cash for Clunkers: I got in before the money ran out {WalletPop}
Jul 31st 2009 1:01PM I got in the cash 4 clunkers in time to get a 2009 jeep..the clunker was a 95 dodge 2500 v10 with a 8.5 engine. I had this to pull a camper, which we did not have any more. The first dealer here in upstate NY told us we qualified, but we had to go on a list and wait to get the vehical that we were pre approved for...the 2nd told me he couldn't find what i wanted in a 500 mile range...the one where i got my jeep from (25 miles from the 2nd dealer) had what i wanted, checked out my "clunker" said it was qualifed for $4500.00 and jeep matched that...would i have gotten a new car if i didnt have a clunker? Don't know for i just purchased one for my wife, but....
