Mar 10th 2012 8:34PM Seems to me that it was "brought on" by the attendants. Since when is it unlawful to paint one's nails? It's not. but more and more these fiesty gals called " stewartess" are thinking they are law court and judge. When does the crap and harassment stop? It won't as long as people keep taking it. Airlines have gone entirely too far. WAY TO FAR
The woman did nothing wrong by finishing up in the bathroom UNLESS she stayed in there way longer denying others the use of it. She was wrong "if" and that's a BIG "IF" she became abusive. I'd be curious to hear what the other passengers have to say about it first

Mar 3rd 2012 10:53AM Actually,, if you think about it... a $400 fine. ok.. 180 days in jail... meaning he will actually only be in jail maybe 90. (jails are horribly over crowded now and most places the actual time served is a small portion of what was ordered)
The cost in the end was probably cheaper than having these dead beats tossed out legally... They were squatters and had no lease, meaning he is not a "land lord" as stated in the story.
In any case I bet the way he got them out was a damn site more satisfying than the BS you go thru with getting them taken out legally

Jan 24th 2012 5:42PM I have used one Vet office for about 14 yrs or so and I am no longer happy. They keep bringing in more and more new people, which is ok. BUT as long time customers we are handed off to ever new tom dick or harry that comes thru the door. It seems NO MATTER what your question... they want to refer you to a "specialist" and there is NO ONE good enough in VA, It's always going to be to see someone they went to college with down in NC. ?? That is a BIG burden to go that far. (not to mention expense) My dogs have all been on heartguard for Years, THey used to just randomly test one, since they are tiny house dogs and never miss a dose, NOW they insist on testing each one each time. (just for the $) I mean...IF they really think they have heart worm after yrs of treatment to prevent it...THEN that means they have no faith in the product they push, so offer something better.
OH and if your pet has a daily medication, You "HAVE TO" buy that prescription from them OR they charge you a $15. fee for writing the prescription to go elsewhere. (oh... and that prescription will be not for 6 mo, or 1 yr.... IF you are lucky, it's 90 days... else you get one written each month to the tune of $15. not to mention the office visit to go in each month... SCREWED.
They're all still nice, pleasant enough, well the drs and in the doggy room when seen. The people at the desk are very curt, almost snippy... They used to be wonderful nice ladies working there... Not now. ;o(
They do send notices when one needs to update a vacination... But I just don't like them anymore... Seems they just can not add on enough stuff to up my bill to suit them anymore.

Jan 14th 2012 3:15PM MILD CLIMATE??? well it's not as hot as Florida and Georgia... Humidity is awful much of the summer... (July on) and it's not so mild in the winter... just as cold as the rest of the state... except there you got more wind, breezy conditions. It don't actually snow much right on the ocean... but its cold COLD>.. in the winter...

IF the crime rate is low, it's because you can't get a cop if you're anywhere near an ocean. Traffic is just that bad, they can't get there! LOL
Insurance is sky high in coastal counties, cities, not to mention taxes.
Perhaps what some like is what has not been mentioned. THAT THE racial make up is desirable to many. (ie. the comment about great schools) as VA BEACH is 68% white, only 19% black. SO Schools are largely white.

Jan 14th 2012 3:06PM I have lived in Va all my life, born here,,,likely die here. Been to Va Beach many many times. I can't imagine raising a family in the Va Beach area. Just too many people, crowded, High INsurance rates... you're on the coast. (if you're a Sr. Va isn't a friendly state to retire in) NC is much better.
Last few times I went to Va Beach, I saw people having sex RIGHT ON THE BEACH, dusk, many people watching... and yes... they did it for the show. I know first thing some will say is VA BEACH has a lower crime rate... HELL, it's so damn crowded that the police can't get there!!! lol IF you are any where near the ocean areas... it's wall to wall cars and no where to pull over. Parking is a bitch.
YES it can be fun, fun to visit not so fun to live there. MOney to be made if you do. Lots of military too. LOTS
OR MAYBE this is why some thing it's so great:
The city is nearly 68% WHITE = 19% Black, the rest is a little bit everything else you can think of.
