Kalamazoo Homeowner Wins $115,000 After Lead-Paint Scare {AOL Real Estate}

Apr 18th 2013 10:56AM You are absolutely right. Any fool should know that. Also that lead paint doesn't bother anyone ULESS they are fool enough to eat it... what person in their right mind is going to chip off paint and munch on it?
I believe these people KNEW it and saw their chance to try to sue someone and make a killing.

Kalamazoo Homeowner Wins $115,000 After Lead-Paint Scare {AOL Real Estate}

Apr 18th 2013 10:54AM OH GOOD GRIEF... ANY FOOL knows that a house that old is bound to have lead paint in it... Lead paint will not hurt the child or the parents UNLESS they are stupid enough to eat it...

Intricate Underground City for Homeless Uncovered In Kansas City, Mo. {AOL Real Estate}

Apr 9th 2013 5:14PM The pictures provided were quite disappointing. They only showed the waste/trash things discarded above ground. Why not show the underground living areas? Show the rooms, etc where these people stayed? Maybe because it looks more typical of a camp site? The trash above ground does present a "worse" image, though not a true image of the living space. Times got hard and these people had to do something. Missouri is full of caves and underground areas... They only need to dig out a bit more to make them accessable. They are cool in summer, warmer than the streets in the winter. Winters in KC are bitter. (I spend 2 yrs there) I hope they really do help these folks and not just run them off. (once you go down so many feet, the temp stays the same all yr round... so it's not so awful) Indians used to use the many caves in MO as places to live in winter...

Port Orange HOA Tells Residents Yard Statues Aren't Allowed {AOL Real Estate}

Apr 5th 2013 5:50PM they do have rules, and she's broken them for a long time. Just lucky she got by with it as long as she did. She did KNOW the rules before buying and then she Chose to buy, but NOW she thinks the rules don't apply to HER.

Port Orange HOA Tells Residents Yard Statues Aren't Allowed {AOL Real Estate}

Apr 5th 2013 5:49PM IF she's always had yard art, and had it since moving in, THAT only proves that she was in violation all those yrs and just lucky she got by with it until now. She KNEW the HOA rules when she purchased the property.. She KNEW she was in violation when she put it there yrs ago. She CHOSE to buy the property with full knowledge, but now she is just another Whinner that thinks the rules shouldn't apply to her.
She should try putting it on her back deck or patio. There it's not on display for everyone and is more private for her. On the deck wouldn't be "yard art" at least not in the yard...She might get by with that.

Soldier Brandon Weir Must Take Down American Flag, HOA Demands {AOL Real Estate}

Feb 28th 2013 8:26PM I find nothing wrong with an American Flag Properly displayed. HOWEVER what does burn my butt is people who buy condos or in a development with an HOA, THEY KNOW THE RULES... HOWEVER THEY ALWAYS DECIDE IT "DON'T MEAN THEN". It's stupid, it's attention getting... IF displaying the Flag is so impt to him then he should have bought outside of an HOA... and put the flag up on his personal property... HOA rules aren't foreign, You can't buy with out knowing about them... SO what this comes down to is...Just another person wanting a moment of fame... Just another person that has obviously never been told no and accepted... Just another person, that believes rules are for others and do not apply to him.

It should have been offensive to him BEFORE he signed and bought that unit.

Oklahoma Apartment Complex Threatens to Evict Tenants for Police Visits {AOL Real Estate}

Feb 23rd 2013 6:23PM Well I sort of agree, and partly do not. IF police come to serve notice to be a witness, or go to a child support hearing... something non criminal, this would be totally wrong.
HOWEVER, if police come to your apt because of fighting on the premisis, or they are called for something bad you are doing at home in that apt...then YES.
I had a friend that was living in an apt near mine, in lynchburg, va a few yrs ago... nice lady... One night some man came to her door and tried to get in... (she didn't know him) She thought he was maybe looking for someone who used to live there or else had the wrong apt #. Anyway he yelled hollored, tried to kick her door in, damaging it... She or neighbors called the police for help... and SHE GOT EVICTED~ Gave her 10 days to get out. She had a small child. She was told to never come on the grounds again..because even if she didn't do it she obviously lived a life style that commanded these type problems. I know she moved out but got a lawyer after then... I lost touch with her and never heard the outcome of it all... IN a case like that it was so wrong.
