Jan 15th 2007 2:31PM I would not shop there because of that... to me it looks like the artist is equating Angelina Jolie with the Virgin Mary. I think it is certainly wonderful that she is adopting children, but that in no way should create the idea that she, or any other woman for that matter, could take the "spotlight" that God chose to put upon Mary. I am not a Mary-worshipper, I am a Christian who only worships God the Father through my faith in Jesus Christ, but even so, it is not right to display such an image. Also, if the artist is trying to be sarcastic, I don't think anyone would "get" the sarcasm behind it because there is nothing in the painting to suggest he is being sarcastic at all.

May 20th 2006 6:17PM One thing I am thankful for, is that with all of this discussion, it opens the door for Christians to share the Good News about our Lord and Savior! Discussing this book / movie is a wonderful conversation starter, and I pray that we can bring the Light into all of this confusing darkness for people... Instead of thinking so negatively about the situation, let's use it to our advantage!
