Do We Really Need More 'Planet of the Apes'? {Cinematical}
Apr 8th 2010 4:57PM A remake of Conquest would rock. The original movie was OK considering budget constraints and 1970's production values, but the base idea of the movie was the best of the series. I would like to echo Shadowracer's comment on it being R rated--the slavery theme should not be sugar-coated, nor should the uprising. I hope they don't mess this one up.

Jul 8th 2009 4:55PM Give individuals, not corporations, the bailout money. The individuals benefit directly. Corporations, States and municipalities will benefit indirectly--probably to a much larger extent than they would if they had received the cash directly. The main disadvantage would be inflation--I am in a lot of debt so this-to me-is actually and advantage. It would, however, shrink the incomes of the trust-fund scion class--which is why this solution will never happen. It is much easier to raise the economy from the bottom than to winch the massive thing from the top.

Mar 24th 2009 2:12AM I don't have a problem with this. Last time I checked the Gulfstream 650 was an American made product. Creating American jobs is a good way to spend the money as far as I am concerned.
Indianapolis police detectives get Toyota Camry Hybrids to drive {Autoblog Green}

So long, friend: Ford producing the last Taurus next week {Autoblog}
Oct 19th 2006 10:45PM The last generation Taurus was a pretty good car--if it was optioned right. An SE with a 24 valve v-6 could get out of its own way and it handled decently without sacreficing its ride quality. It is too bad that Ford couldn't market its way out of a wet paper bag if it was in the ocean. The Taurus' depriciation curve looked like a cliff--after 5 years they are in the 'scrap-metal' range. But at least fleet sales are strong. :-(
