Apparently, the Mexican government also thinks we're idiots...I live in California and the plane tickets and hotels are cheaper to Hawaii than drug-infested Mexico.
My friends just came back from Mexico...they said the resort had armed guards at the gate....nice relaxing feeling knowing the cartel may come busting through at any moment.

My first trip to Vegas was in 1969. I remember visiting the Riviera in those
days.
If you were to visit today, the place would look EXACTLY like it did in 1969....
difficult parking, outdated decor, circuitous route from the parking to the
casino, etc...etc.
Why go to a dump when you can visit the Wynn, Bellagio or Caesar's Palace?
It seems they haven't invested a nickle in updating the casino since the day
it was built.

I once photographed a benefit for autistic kids....Mr. T was the
master of ceremonies.
He totally ignored all the kids, made his remarks, and didn't
even acknowlege one kid who was sitting at my table.
I witnessed this....that guy is a total a-hole.

I have a friend who is a Jr. High teacher.
She says the prime amibition of the majority of her female students
is to be a "stripper." (the boys dream of becoming valet
parking attendants at a major hotel).
These outfits are totally inappropriate...they could have performed
the same great routine with less sexy attire.
