Jul 13th 2012 12:45PM I felt bad for him until I read that he has known for years he needed the permits. It is great what he has accomplished but we do live in society, not the wilderness, and laws need to be followed.

May 30th 2011 10:01AM First of all, you should be ashamed of yourself, I add my voice to those who have condemned your comment (but of course you have the right to whatever assinine opinion you hold) If 'druggies or alcoholic, those who came home addicted started because of the horrors they faced, or physical pain that was not properly treated. But they also have physical disabilities that keep them from finding and holding a job. These men and women fought when you obviously chose not to volunteer to end up, as many of these did, in a country where the enemy is not alwasy who you think it is and is not clearly identified. These people are hereos who, when they signed on the dotted line, did so knowing they could lose limbs, their health, even their lives. Go join then come back after your one, two, three tours in Iraq, Afghanistan, although you are only supposed to be called to serve in these areas for one tour of duty. Shame on you. I hope that anyone in your family who has served, and I am sure they have, are not made aware of your sad, sad comment and belief.

Makeover Diaries: How Botox Saved My Face {Stylelist (Main)}
Feb 14th 2011 6:53PM I thght it might be my story at first. I woke up and the left side of my face was also paralyzed. Only I awakened in the neurosurgical ICU after a Jannetta procedure performed by Dr, Peter J. Jannetta for trigeminal neuralgia. Before surgery he said "I promise you your face cannot be injured." Turns out he ignored a defensive presurgery test that showed high chance of paralysis.
He never recommended physical therapy or any treatment. As a result I remain with disfigurement. On the stand he said "unknown" complication. In 2 separate depositions said "major and common complication." The Pa. Superior court called his testimony perjurious ("We have little difficulty in concluding that Dr. Jannetta's testimony at deposition was different than, or inconsistent with, the testimony at trial." Levy v Jannetta, CCP Allegheny County, GD 81-7689; appeal -J. A370017/92 Levy v Jannetta et al, No. 00150 Pittsburgh, 1992. settled, 1995) but my lawyer, Mike Fishbein of Phila forced me to settle for such a small amount that my lifetime medical costs are not covered. Interestingly within a month of this forced settlement (in a case that was in the courts for 14 years) Gov. Tom Ridge nominated Dr. Jannetta as Pa sec't of health where he served for 6 mths.
I tried botox in the right forehead hoping I could help the left forehead get some wrinkles so the sides matched better but it did not work. All procedures to help with the reconstruction were called cosmetic by the insurance company so had to stop them years ago. (I had asked my plastic surgeon if he could put wrinkles in on the left side for age symmetry but he said they only know how to remove them. I like wrinkles, they show character and the life you have led)

FAA Proposes Fines on American Eagle, Continental {AOL Travel News}
Dec 27th 2010 10:12AM First bailout Chabsentia was AIG by the Bush administration for AIG. Yep, don;t know wher3e skippy got his info (which was wrong) but don;t know where you got yours either.
Do ou want seats that don;t sit in upright position if there is a major skid or worse? Think about it, it is dangerous. As is using the wrong landing gear assemblies.
Fines should be high enough it actually makes a difference. These, they won;t care and will do it agaiin, passenger safety be damned.
27 Million and Counting: Cori Paul, Artbox Alley {AOL Small Business}
Dec 13th 2010 8:01PM I went to score a number of years ago to get info on how to start a business. I had an idea for a toy with book, etc. I have a disability. When I told the SCORE volunteer I did not know what some of the business terms he was using meant he told me, "Well, I think you should just say you have the disability and tried to do this business but it didn't work" I never tried SCORE again figuring if this was the type of advice they gave what is the point?

My brother and I each have a variation of AFIB called Atrial Flutter". It is not nearly as threatening as this overly- dramatic article would lead you to believe. "
Because it is a 'variant' it may have different implications.
