Detroit 2010: Transportation Secretary LaHood ponders another round of cash-for-clunkers {Autoblog Green}

Jan 15th 2010 2:50PM Cash for Clunkers? You mean that program the government started after it became owner of a car manufacturer, that gave free money to people to buy their cars? What a great way to demonstrate that your bailout was successfull! Hey we just bailed out GM and now the car industry is booming, don't tell anyone we're giving the cars away using the taxpayers money!

McDonald's says goodbye to Iceland, land of fire and ice (but not fries) {Daily Finance}

Oct 27th 2009 2:55PM Heck no, that's when we'll need them the most! You see, they left iceland because the people couldn't afford to eat them, here they're cheap and Americans love to stuff their faces with cheap low grade food products.

Top Net Threats Right Now {Switched}

Feb 22nd 2008 9:00AM Wow...what does stolen credit cards and Ron Paul have to do with internet security?? Did they magically transport the cards from the bank to their secret hideaway lol or maybe you really meant stolen credit card numbers. At the very least the stolen credit card info should have been a seperate paragraph than the typo-domain info. Either way you guys really droppped the ball with this article. But, I guess that's what I've come to expect from AOL and I'm so bored this morning there's nothing else to do but laugh at your blogs.

Baltimore Ravens' Steve McNair Arrested for DUI {Fanhouse NFL Blog}

May 10th 2007 3:52PM McNair did the right thing! We're always told if you're too drunk to drive, let someone else drive you home. Well...If he's drunk, how is he supposed to determine that the designated drivers blood alcohol level is over the limit?? Do we have to give our designated drivers breath tests to see if they can drive our drunk butt home?? That's crazy!! Even in his drunk condition, he tried to do the right thing by having someone else drive, that's more than can be said for most people who get drunk. Do you really think he wanted someone drunk driving his car?? I'm sure it wasn't just some old clunker that he doesn't care what happens to it. Like many laws, this one was probably drafted for one purpose and the short sightedness of lawyers and lawmakers didn't think of all the possible ramifications.

Pay no attention to the voice of God in your car {Autoblog}

Mar 6th 2007 8:02AM I see a lot of comments about stupid people and people not using common sense, but common sense doesn't necessarily come into play when your driving through unfamiliar territory, which is what most people use GPS for. If you aren't already familiar with the roads your travelling, no amount of common sense is going to tell you that you have a bad map or the GPS is wrong until it's too late. I'm sure this narrow road only got too narrow to traverse once the truck drivers had already traveled a good ways down it. If it had been too narrow to get down at the entry point, most truck drivers would be able to see this before turning onto it. Don't be so quick to judge until you're someplace new and GPS or a crappy google map is all you have to go by.

The $1,000 trash bag {Stylelist (Main)}

Nov 30th 2006 12:59PM Everything good has already been done. That's why fashion trends move in cycles. Every few years, the fashions we look back on and say, "OMG I cant believe I wore that" come back into vogue. It's not because there's anything terrific about them, it's because the industry has run out of truly good and original ideas. Fueled by the super rich who have to have something to wear that noone else has, this phenomenon of vogue trash will continue as long as our society has money to burn, and the mindset that the clothes you wear define who you are. It's both sad and amusing at the same time. Keep it up fashion designers, I can always use a good laugh!

Mare meat: a controversy {Slashfood}

May 25th 2006 4:47PM I think we should go just the opposite direction you're suggesting. We should start consuming horse meat here too! If a horse breaks it's leg, it gets shot on the spot (unless of course its a Kentucky Derby winner and then they keep it alive long enough to farm its sperm). Why shouldn't we eat these animals. Of all the debates I've read on the subject, none have had a good reason to single out horses to be saved from slaughter and not cows or any other mammal we love to eat here.
