Bang & Olufsen debuts 40-inch BeoVision 8 LCD HDTV {Engadget}

Mar 17th 2009 12:59AM Everyone here is looking at B&O from the wrong standpoint. Obviously a regular joe would see this TV as nonsense, because you are not the target market. By trying to justify the price as outlandish it makes you feel better that, "even if I could afford it, I wouldn't buy it". However if you could afford this stuff you would buy it. Excess spending is something people inherently do, that's why the world's economy is in the dumps.

People who are the target market will understand the pricing scheme, the people who buy B&O electronics are paying for almost a piece of art. Each piece is designed first and the design is the focal point, not the specs. By looking at the specs over the design you are misjudging the pricing scheme. I myself will never be able to afford any B&O electronics, but I can see why their pieces are so expensive. Design is not cheap, that is why art is not cheap. Check the names of the designers of B&O electronics, they are all well known.

I mean how much is a famous painting worth anyways??? 100$ for the paint and canvas??

Press shots for Samsung's new S2 and S3 players {Engadget}

Apr 23rd 2008 7:12PM Yeah engadget is always so quick to point out when other people seem to copy their favorite Apple products but apparently the most Blatant B&O knockoff by a company who's CEO just resigned isn't a big deal?????

Atom processor to cost Intel just $6 to $8? {Engadget}

Mar 30th 2008 5:57AM This article is savagely biased towards stupid people who can't think for themselves because most of the costs for any technology come from research and development. Chips don't appear out of thin air to be made and sold. You guys as a technology blog of all things should know. Why does crap get delayed?? not cause the magical bunny of technology is late in dropping it off, it's cause research and development is taking longer than usual. Paying MIT grads to figure crap out ain't cheap.

The Perfect Luxury Bathroom for Men? {Luxist}

Feb 15th 2008 1:25PM Yeah this bathroom seems to be missing an area for urination, for me that would be quite important as a guy. Also if you're gonna stick a tv on the cabinet, why not stick a tv in the shower too and on the tub. The cabinet seems the least likely. Lastly, I'd say make the floors heated as well, that's just something i really like.

iPhone invading Canada tomorrow? {Engadget}

Jan 15th 2008 3:30AM Wow slow newsday eh?? I mean I love apple updates, I'm a fan of both Apple and Microsoft, but I have never seen so many useless speculations over a conference. Ever. I wouldn't mind if they clumped them into one giant "rumor" post. Not like 3 million small posts every 10 minutes just to satisfy the rabid Apple fans reading this blog.

Hands-on with the Dell XPS One {Engadget}

Dec 6th 2007 10:35PM Right, because apple TV failed to sell, and is now really a write off for Apple. I guess Microsoft really wasn't going to follow in Apple's footsteps to create a product so useless that it is now sitting in clearance bins at your nearest Costco.
