For centuries, the printing press primarily functioned as a tool of political parties -- in the newspaper's healthy heyday, cities would not coincidentally have as many dailies as there were viewpoints. The contrivance of objective reporting is just a few decades old. Just be honest and admit you wish all media would just agree with you instead of shouting bias (and read before you comment -- the Post's newsroom staff was rightfully indignant at the publisher's ploy).
