A Break With Tradition -- 'I Chose Not to Have My Dad Give Me Away' {Lemondrop}
May 16th 2010 6:19PM What's wrong with a "bride price."
With the cost of living nowadays if I had a daughter I had to put up with for so long, tolerate the feminine BS that causes males so much grief in life, I would want to get as many cows as possible or whatever currency is used, to get at least a partial return of the money I likely frittered away on a self-centered materialistic demanding female.
Taco Bell a Hit in India {Slashfood}
Apr 6th 2010 8:58PM The Taco Bell of 20 and more years ago before the firm was bought out by the owner that commenced massive cost cutting (that I do not recall resulting in a lowered product price) offered a superior product so much tastier than the glop produced now.
Distant memories embedded within a Disgruntled Old Coot.
Thanks to the ongoing recession I am just thankful for the nightly additions to the area dumpsters.
At least I am not facing starvation and I do have my vehicle to sleep within.
Anything is better than being truly homeless and dependent upon shelters or a cardboard box hidden off to the side.
I do sleep better, though, knowing the USA's deserving elite class has seen its wealth continue to rise.
All is as it should be.

10 Dirty Little Restaurant Secrets {Slashfood}

My my, a quarter-century already?
the southern part of Modesto, CA. The area where the ahem, "immigrants" began flooding in.
One of the Mexican restaurants, a "real" one where the "immigrants" flocked to for a taste of "home" I suppose, was raided by the county health department after constant complaints of missing pets in the area.
Tongues wagged and the word was spread and an inspection of the dumpster behind the restaurant revealed numerous kitty and doggy carcasses.
A fine followed but the place remained open until felled to make way for newer business buildings.
Authentic Mexican food I was told.

May 3rd 2009 9:36PM The Females as Property Movement along with the Dump Your Dame Movement is spreading at an incredible rate.
I expect society-wide changes in the not-too-distant future as the masses of males realize what a mistake it was to allow the daffy dames to vote and hold higher-up political offices.
A better day is coming, citizens!!!!!
Continue uniting and we may be able to save the USA from those addle-minded illogical emotion-laden materialistic self-centered broads.
Support the Females as Property Movement and set yourself free... even if you are a female.
No longer will females be expected to, or to strive for, what is impossible for the vast majority of females... to act, behave and function as an adult within modern society.
Not having to even attempt to do the impossible will be relieving the girlies of a terrible burden that has caused an immense amount of inner turmoil for the delicate darlings.

Another GM manufacturing shift bites the dust! {Autoblog}
Nov 13th 2007 1:32AM I would not be surprised if a portion of the reduced Chevy/GMC truck sales are due to the word getting out regarding sub-par warranty coverage for defects new owners expect to be repaired, rather than shenned and sent on their way to live with the problems.
With the power of the Web the common folks have a voice and a venue to share personal experiences.
All manufacturers better take heed.
Toyota Tundra woes "shame" automaker {Autoblog}
Nov 13th 2007 1:17AM If Toyota will recognize those defects while the vehicle is under warranty I believe good-will will be maintained.
Unlike the way GMC/Chevy treated me with a new Silverado (2004) with the several defects I repeatedly tried to get fixed, leaving the truck for up to 5 days at a time.
The same tired refrain, "Can't duplicate the problem."
I know some basic diagnosing by a competent mechanic would have found the defects.
Interestingly, I have read posts here and there where others declared they received the same or similar response, "Can't duplicate the problem."
I find it interesting the same phrase was used at geographically different areas.
Was it a possible cost-saving measure promulgated by "corporate"?
I don't know. What I do know is that Chevy/GMC will be shunned by me in the future. I bought Chevy to help the "home team." Misplaced loyalty, I see.
I will take my chance with Toyota next vehicle purchase. I never had problems with Toyota regarding warranty work that I experienced with several Chevy dealers.
Live and learn.
