Having spent thirty eight years owning a retail I understand the impossibility of pleasing everyone. The idea that customer is always right is ludicris. Rudeness gets the customer nowhere.
While checking in to the Camino Real in Cancun we realized we were one of the few guests not travel agents on a junket. Our room had a nonworking toilet, flooded floor,
and was filthy. After being told nothing could be done I called another hotel from the front desk, which said they had a room for us. When I asked to have my bags brought out front, they immediately found a new room for us. I never lost my temper and it worked.
