Nov 21st 2010 8:29AM I had a California pen pal back in the early 60's who would write me about Dick Dale and how popular his surf music was. I was from Detroit, so surfing was just a dream to me. Dick Dale and the Deltones remained heroes in the back of my mind for years, and I always feel nostalgic for the surf music era even though I didn't live it. Great stuff!
