Marilyn Monroe's Brentwood Home, Estate of the Day {Luxist}
Jul 15th 2010 2:24PM I was lucky enough to visit the place in 1994 when it was for sale, since I lived within walking distance and frequently walked in the area. It is a gorgeous home but there are hundreds, maybe thousands pf similar homes in SoCal. Whoever buys it might want to do some spiritual cleansing, considering the intensity of evil that took place there back in 1962- a sweet soul being murdered-either by a cursed clan or by herself. Then again, any prospective buyer might want to examine their soul as to why they would want to pay twice the market value or more just because an American "idol" in the truest sense, happened to live there for six months. Ironically, inscribed in tile at the front entrance, was a Latin inscription that, translated, reads "here my journey ends." Prophetic, indeed.
Is He Kidding? Mickey Rourke as Genghis Khan? {Cinematical}
Apr 26th 2010 11:28AM This really isn't a racial thing; this is a business decision. In Shakespeare's time, acting was considered so shameful that women weren't allowed to act (thus men in drag) and actors weren't even buried in the same cemeteries as "good people." Now, actors have been elevated to the status of "royalty" and, when anointed at the Box Office, can do pretty much whatever they want. As long as they're making money, no one cares. This is a producers decision and then, the people will vote at the Box Office and it will have nothing to do with casting; it will have everything to do with whether or not the film works artistically and financially. If it works, Rourke's the hero, who pulled off the impossible, if it doesn't, he and the producers are the goats and all the naysayers were right but that won't stop the next guy from trying the same thing. The great thing about Hollywood that attracts so many like myself and millions of others is that there are no rules. Rules are why we left the "good folk" in the rest of the world, to come here as creative pilgrims and start a new world.
House Passes Health Care Overhaul in Historic Win for Democrats {Politics Daily}

Pope Silent on Uganda's 'Kill-the-Gays' Bill {Politics Daily}
Mar 8th 2010 8:26PM This has nothing at all to do with the Pope or homosexuality. This has everything to do with the obvious fact presented here: this earth is a sewer of lies, deceit, manipulation, prejudice and inhumanity - man to man- man to animal and man to earth. Collectively, we the people, have trashed this planet and I none of us are innocent. At some level ,we've all taken part in the travesty of destruction and annihilation-large or small, past present or future. Science, logic, reason, psychotherapy, communism, the "enlightened age" has failed as miserably as the dark ages, to end the reign of human selfishness and shame. Only one thing is sure: we need a savior and Yeshua, the Rabbi-carpenter from Nazareth-not some "God fairy tale in the sky" but a real man and real God-holds out the only hope for justice and peace.

Lindsay Lohan Makes Christians Cross {Politics Daily}
Feb 11th 2010 4:29PM Saint Paul noticed that "some are preaching for money" but that he "didn't care, as long as the cross is being preached." Lindsay is bringing the message of the cross to many who wouldn't dare set foot in a church,in her own, style-conscious way. Give her a break-that's what Jesus did on that cross.

Eerie Brittany Murphy Film Poster Pulled {PopEater}
Dec 24th 2009 10:42PM Sometimes life imitates Art. I think that it is admirable of Redbox to consider her, honoring and respecting her family in this way. The Bible says that "life and death is in the power of the tongue." I felt led to pray for Brittany months before her death. She had been heavy on my heart and when I think about how it happened so fast and just how short this life is, I realize how in the end, the only thing that matters is the love you have shown to others, and the mercy and grace that you have extended to your fellow man. I believe that God controls every breath we take and that all things will turn out good for those who love Him.
Where Are Tiger's 'Cablinasian' Backers? {Fanhouse Golf Blog}
Dec 10th 2009 6:13PM Although I am proud of my Scottish, Alsatian, Croatian and German ancestry, in being born American, I drop all that in order to emerge from old-world nationalism, tribal wars and ethnic pride, in favor of the hope of a new world- that's what America represents- the UNITED states, not the SEPARATE, racially divided, "Black Pride" and "White Supremacist" states that so many still cling to and in doing, are not really Americans at all.
