Sunday Real Estate Round-Up {Luxist}

Dec 16th 2007 7:34PM Thats quite a hit Nikki Sixx took on that sale, it's not often you see a Real Estate Contract go through at 2/3 the list price.

Do Blog Comments Have Value ? {Blog Maverick}

Nov 23rd 2007 10:08AM Community moderation is the way to go. Of course it's your blog, you can do whatever you want. Craigslist seems to have a very effective combination of 95% community moderation and 5% staff editing. (those numbers are my estimates)

If you attract a good community, your comments will be policed accordingly.

Bill OReilly - Principle vs Money ? {Blog Maverick}

Nov 16th 2007 7:10PM I have not seen the movie, nor have I heard anything Bill has to say about it, but I firmly believe that this has gotten way out of hand. I generally agree what about 65% of what Bill has to say, whether he means it or not I don't care. If it is his fans acting as you mentioned, it's completely out of line.

Never Friend Anyone Over 29 {Blog Maverick}

Nov 6th 2007 5:45PM Mark, I find it difficult (not impossible) to keep up with new tech while implementing old, learned tech. For example, I still create websites using primarily PHP. I simply don't have time to implement what I know in PHP and learn much about Ajax. The advantage that youth brings is that they do not have to support their knowledge of old tech, they have simply walked into the new. eventually today’s youth will have to earn a living with the knowledge they have of today’s new tech and will not have the time to learn the new of tomorrow.

An Open Facebook API vs Google OpenSocial {Blog Maverick}

Nov 4th 2007 9:10PM Your right on track with your "why would they go anywhere else" comment. That seems to be the major deciding factor in the success or failure of online communities. I look at the opportunity that the association of realtors have in creating an online community of agents, home sellers, and home buyers and I laugh because they are not taking advantage of that opportunity and I know that someone else will.

Is it Time for Youtube to Reform ? {Blog Maverick}

Oct 31st 2007 11:19AM I think that someone has allready mentioned that google would serve ads around the tags related to the video and not the content of the video itself.
I belive that the best possible solution would be revenue sharing with the copyright holder, however that would be nearly immpossible to implement.
I don't think there's goin to be an easy solution to this.
