Because of the ideology behind the Confederate States of America. The main issue between the USA and the CSA was slavery. In reality, there was nothing else. If you want and like the Confederate flag, then you are a racist. It is that simple.

Jun 21st 2011 5:59PM I used to be an umpire for little league and wouldn't do it again. The parents were constantly threatening me----if I called them out, called a strike, walked the batter, called the runner safe, if the coach took them out of the game it was somehow MY fault!!!
This woman is sick, but she is no different than anybody else I have seen.

Jun 6th 2011 4:04PM You MUST be a kid. You certainly aren't a former teacher. When I was kid, teachers were still allowed to hit kids with rulers in public schools----that would have been when you were in your late 20's. This teacher was acted in self-defense and, while I would not have hit the kid myself, I don't see anything wrong with her actions.

Jun 6th 2011 3:55PM We give kids too many freedoms and take their word as the word of God for everything today. But the fact is is that kids are not always good. They do try to intimidate teachers, bus drivers, clergy members, bosses, parents, neighbors, everyone. While what this teacher did wasn't correct, I will say that it wasn't wrong.
