Frank Lloyd Wright Group Fights to Save His Home in Phoenix From Demolition {AOL Real Estate}
Aug 26th 2012 12:23PM
Wow! Just finished going through the pics. What a gorgeous work of art. Sad that a developer doesn't appreciate the aesthetic and historical value of this house. Seems to me they could find someway of accomodating its continued existence. And surely the the developer wouldn't mind the kudos for choosing to bring a piece of the best of our past into the future.
10 unique underground hotels from around the world {Gadling}
Dec 17th 2011 12:15PM A contest would be fun. You could decorate the walls with reproductions of prehistoric cave paintings, have pedestal sinks which resemble stalagmites, ceiling light fixtures which look like stalactites. Troglodyte Subterranea...lol.
10 unique underground hotels from around the world {Gadling}
Dec 17th 2011 10:28AM Not sure I would feel comfortable in an underground hotel in an area prone to earthquakes such as Turkey or New Zealand.
Confederate Flag Gets South Carolina Neighbors Up in Arms {AOL Real Estate}
Sep 28th 2011 2:50AM To Wolverine. Such indignance! Quit hiding behind your specious rationalizations about what the flag 'used' to represent. Everyone knows exactly what it means these days and you are spineless worms trying to wriggle around an ugly truth. There is nothing remotely noble about Confederate flag-flyers. All these pro-Confederate arguments and explanations about honoring fallen soldiers and taxation without representation, etc. are just other ways of wearing a white hood.
Confederate Flag Gets South Carolina Neighbors Up in Arms {AOL Real Estate}
Sep 28th 2011 12:50AM To me, that flag represents traitorous acts. The Nazi Swastika flag is banned.....the Confederate flag is no better. Texas has six flags in its heritage, yet only the state and U.S. flags fly. I suppose you are entitled to fly the Confederate flag as an exercise in free speech, and to show you are proud of your so-called heritage, but don't lie and try to insist you aren't a racist. Anyone flying that flag knows EXACTLY what it really represents and people who do so are haters and have rotten souls.
Patricia Heaton Has Lost Potential Roles Because of Her Politics {PopEater}
May 21st 2011 1:16PM If Ms. Heaton believes so much in God, then why did she feel she had to have all that plastic surgery a while back? Apparently she felt that God's handiwork needed surgical enhancement. I guess as long as God get's his ten percent it's okay to spend thousands of dollars on vanity instead of helping the less fortunate among us. Oh yeah........I forgot.....God works in mysterious ways. I imagine those five words are how some Christians are able rationalize their hypocrisy and get a good night's sleep.
Still? Chelsea Handler Pokes Fun at Kirstie Alley's Weight {PopEater}
May 15th 2011 10:57AM Chelsea herself has a rather noticeable muffin-top goin' on. I watched her show a few times but soon got tired of the bashing. She's a one-note wonder and not very inventive about it, either.
Now If You'll Excuse Me, I Have a Supercut to Watch {Urlesque}
Jan 23rd 2011 2:01PM I get tired of hearing the phrase, "Take the shot!" in movies.
Is "What's Your Favorite Movie Of All Time" A Valid Question? {Moviefone Blog}
Jan 8th 2011 4:35PM I sort of have a top ten list of movies for the different moods I experience. Always up there: The Year of Living Dangerously, Victor/Victoria, The Haunting (B&W version), Fright Night, THEM!, Enchanted April, The Day the Earth Stood Still, 2001.....I've already listed more than I intended.
Most Controversial Movies of All Time: 10 Films That Truly Shocked Audiences {Moviefone Blog}
Dec 4th 2010 1:02PM I'm surprised the Exorcist didn't make this list. I also think it's funny that religious people won't believe their own eyes when they see and hear truths which they find uncomfortable and don't agree with what they believe, yet they are adamant about the veracity and unimpeachability of a tome written by who knows whom thousands of years ago.
