All-Time Super Bowl Ad Rejects: No. 11 {AOL Video Blog}
Feb 4th 2008 9:10PM I believe the part of the Britney commercial that made it unacceptable was the leering old dudes at the end-which have since been edited out-it was really creepy to see Bob Dole sort of drooling over an underaged Britney.
Food Network wants three more years of Alton Brown {AOL TV}
Jan 8th 2008 2:07PM I heart Alton Brown, and, his explanations of things, they make much more sense than the 'just do it this way because I say so' attitude of some other show hosts.
My nephew loves Good Eats, and, has been watching the show since he was 15 or so, he's now 17 and continues to enjoy cooking, in large part due to the influence of Mr. Brown's show.
Britain's Got Talent, Too {AOL Video Blog}
Jun 17th 2007 12:10PM dude, I'm a mess after all three of those performances. I was touched by the little girl's pure voice, and, by the perseverance of the twirler, but, Paul, the opera singer, omigoodness, there're no words to express how touching his performance was, poignant, uplifting, such control...I loved him!
Damn I Look Good! {News Bloggers}
Jun 6th 2007 2:31PM so...I noticed your entry was made on May 31st, so, I went back to see that portrait entry--I must say, you don't look at all yourself, in fact, you looked quite feminine in that white dress, lol
the entry for the 30th, however, looks just like you, and, a very handsome portrait indeed :)
Snakes on a Piece of Jewelry {Luxist}
Jul 30th 2006 12:54PM I don't know that I'd pay that much for a promotional type piece of jewelry, but...it'd make a great keychain, lol, I'd totally pay a few dollars for that, lol.
as for the movie, sounds like it'll be fun to watch, and, heck, sam jackson is pretty much good in anything--I even liked him in unbreakable, lol
Dukes 2 Lines Up its Cast {Cinematical}
Jun 16th 2006 4:29PM I think the second one's going straight to video, so, I may see it in a few years when the throw it in the dollar bin, lol. Good luck to the new cast though, Jonathon Bennett's pretty cute, he was bud on Cheaper By The Dozen 2 and Randy Wayne was pretty funny in the series Sons & Daughters as the "popular" son, so, maybe they'll be able to carry the show. Looking at Randy's pic, he does kinda look like a young John Schneider
Last Comic Standing: The first five finalists are chosen {AOL TV}
Jun 7th 2006 1:03PM I agree that the producers must be fairly young, otherwise, that guy from the Real World, Theo, wouldn't have been picked to go. He just wasn't funny.
I'm rooting for Gabriel Iglesias, he just makes me laugh, and, his stand-up is quick, appeals to a varied audience, and, he's just funny!
Hope he makes it through to the next round
Last Comic Standing comic really was picked {AOL TV}
Jun 7th 2006 12:56PM I watch the show to see at least part of some funny acts, as, there haven't been many comedy showcase shows featuring really funny people in a long time.
But, as for whether the show's rigged or not, pfft, there's no way dat phan was funnier than ralphie--heck, he wasn't funnier than dave, the first guy against whom he competed in a head to head competition, and yet...he won. As unknown of a name as he was, you'd think he'd have jumped at the chance to appear on the show like john hefron and alonzo boden did. Maybe the show's producers didn't ask him to appear. Anyway, as you say, dat phan had a better back story than the other comics, and so, he won, but, I have a hard time thinking that the voting public would vote for the story over the comedy. (then again, having seen idol voting results, should I be so surprised?)
Sam Neill and Julian Glover Were Almost James Bond {Cinematical}
Apr 26th 2006 4:59PM Yup, there's no Bond like Sean Connery, and, Pierce was ok, but, woulda done better had they let him out of his Remington Steele contract to play the role then--that particular character was pretty Bond-ish, if a little rough around the edges.
I loooooove Jason Statham and agree, he's got the right amount of polish, magnetism and physicality, required of a Bond.
