Behind the Lee DeWyze 'Idol' Finale Snub {PopEater}

May 28th 2011 8:18PM I was wondering why Lee wasn't there for the finale. Hearing him sing again would have been a whole lot better than having to watch Lady GaGa. As one of my aunts used to say "she is someone to pray over". And I like Jennifer Lopez but she lost her appeal for me wih the number she did with her husband, the "bum" flapping was not necessary and not entertaining. Anyway, again I want to say to Lee, a lot of people wondered why you weren't asked to be in the finale, but we won't forget you. Good luck in your career!

What Not to Name a Baby in 2010 {Lemondrop}

Jul 22nd 2010 9:23PM THis is a true story folks, a couple in Texas with the last name of Hogg named their daughters Ima and Ura. How bad is that?

And I know there are many many couples who did the same thing as my first husband and I did, we named our four sons with names starting with J. Jerald, Jeffrey, James and Joseph aka Jerry, Jeff, Jim and Joe. I sometimes still call them by the wrong name especially if I am miffed at one of them. And guess what the first grandchild is named? At least it was a granddaughter after all the boys, her name is Jenifer Lyn; she married a young man named Jesse and he has a brother named Jacob.

I like a "Boy named Sue". What fun!

Michelle Obama Reveals Malia's Upcoming Laundry Chores {Politics Daily}

May 1st 2010 9:28PM Gee, I hope Malia doesn't get too traumatized when she has to learn how to do laundry. And I suppose little Sasha will have to learn to do laundry as well. This is the most "heart rendering" news I have ever read. NOT. I do not have any respect for the first lady at all, she blew it on the first speech she made early in the campaign when she stated that this is the first time I have been proud of my country. She is just too uppity for her own good. I hope 2012 gets here quickly-hopefully ALL of the rest of the "kool aid drinkers" will have sobered up and seen the Obama group for what they are. Country demolistionists.

'American Idol' 'Do Review: A Night of Strange and Stunning Hair {Stylelist (Main)}

Apr 22nd 2010 5:36PM I have a feeling that Crystal will be the new American Idol and this is sad. If professionals do the hair for the contestants then I would certainly hate to see what amateurs would do with it. Crystal has a good voice but she looks too lackdaisial about her appearance. The other girl left on the show is strange in the way she dresses as well. Not real good examples for young girls. As far as the best performer on Tues night I would say Lee was awesome. He has been above average all season. I also think "Big Mike" has an excellent voice and a wonderful personality. If I could pick the winner for this season I would say Lee should be the new American Idol and Big Mike as runner up. This was, however, a mediocre season at best. I think A I has just about run out of steam as far as entertainment goes.

Cheryl Hines Defends Jesus Joke in 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' {Inside TV Blog}

Nov 1st 2009 9:25PM It is true that we have freedom of speech and people can choose to drop HBO, but the thing about urinating on a picture of Jesus is taking things a bit too far for decent people to think about much less say it. Sodom and Gommoreh sound like angelic cities compared to America, and we know what happened to them. Wake up America!

Glenn Beck Boycott: Censorship or Good Citizenship? {Politics Daily}

Aug 19th 2009 10:00PM I don't think Glenn Beck is going to lose any sleep over the people who want to boycott him; he is a refresning addition to Fox News Channel, he loves his country but thinks it is headed in the wrong direction, so he lets average citizens how to get involved and to contact our congressmen, go to town meetings and whatever we can do to let them know we have many concerns about our future.

Those who criticize him and would boycott him are upset because he has hit a nerve, they know what he is saying is true but they don't want to acknowledge it.

I am a senior citizen on medicare and the government already runs my health plan, and I am wondering if the Obama Plan will cause me to lose some of my benefits from Medicare.

I have no respect for Obama or any of his policies, the people he associates with are very suspect in my mind. I knew he would be bad news for AMerica but I didn't think he would ruin as quickly as he has done.

I would encourage Glenn Beck to hang in there and keep us informed of things he learns about what's going on in Washington.

God Bless Glenn BEck and God Bless America!

David Letterman and Sarah Palin Feud Grows {Politics Daily}

Jun 10th 2009 8:52PM Sarah Palin should consider it a compliment that David Letterman makes very bad remarks about her. It shows that deep down in the part of his soul he obviously not gotten in touch with, he knows she is a Christian, is doing great things in Alaska and is highly intelligent. Christians make non believers nervous, therefore there is nothing you can throw our way that will cause us to lose our faith in God. Unlike other religious groups (i.e. Muslims) the powers that be do not worry about being politically incorrect around Christians, but as Christians we have to walk on eggshells lest we offend the Muslims. So keep your chin up, Gov. Palin. "Our day will come"; if not on earth but "when we all get to Heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be.

The First Ladies Wore White: Michelle Obama and Carla Bruni in France {BV on Style}

Jun 8th 2009 9:23PM It does matter what Michelle Obama wears. There have been reports that she was given a crash course in protocol, dressing, hair, make up but all they have managed to do is make her presentable. She is America's Eliza Doolittle but I don't think we have been as succesful in the transformation of a poor, struggling, underprivileged girl to things becoming a First Lady. She looks like the ghetto girl with make up to make her look half way presentable. And anyone with any "class" would never have worn 500.00 sneakers to work at a food pantry. I pay about 15.00 for my sneakers and they look perfectly fine. The 485.00 difference could have fed a few families at the food pantry. In her infamous speech where she stated this is the first time she has been proud of her country, any respect I might have had for her vanished with that talk. I am proud of my country and I know I will never be rich, but I have a roof over my head, a car to drive and enough food (for now anyway). In spite of the "do over" her original natieve will always show thru the glitch and glitter.

Hot Seat: Knowledge About Palin {Politics Daily}

Sep 3rd 2008 1:09AM I was amazed and thrilled when S. Palin was introduced as John McCain's VP pick. Unlike Obama who almost had me drinking his kool aid the first 3 speeches he made, until it hit me between the eyes that I had almost been "drawn in" by his charisma. He gives great speeches about what we need to do as a nation or should stop doing but he doesn't say how he plans to put his ideas (yet to be made) into action.

When Gov Palin takes the podium, she is animated, articulate in her speech, smiles a lot, but has a presence that says wihout words that she is all business, but I would not want to cross her. She would be a formidable opponent.

If she and John MCCain win the election she could step in and become President, in a heartbeat!

Palin Polls {Politics Daily}

Aug 31st 2008 5:33PM Sarah Palin is a mom, that's a good qualification. She has as much political experience as Obama or more. Besides I still can't get past the "I have never been so proud of my country in my adult life", What-it took her husband running for President to make her proud. The worst thing about Obama I will not get past nor try to- 20 years in a hate mongering group of people claiming to be "Christians". It is told that he was sworn in as Senator using a Quaran instead of a Bible. We need to get this verified and if he is so "not" muslim and tries to use a Quaran when inaugurated as a President He should be sent out of the country. He will win, you know, the kool aid drinkers all have their cups ready!

To add a somewhat optimistic note, at least the Vice Presidential Nominee for the Republics knows the difference between an animal and a human. Of course you have to concentrate more when you are shooting at a moose. I like her! But Obama is weedling himself into our country and we might find ourselves being told to sing "Allah Bless America". God Help us.
