Exclusive 'Cougar Town' DVD Bonus Clip and Giveaway {AOL TV}

Aug 19th 2010 3:41PM Considering the name of the show is referring to the city it takes place in, I believe changing the name of the show would be a mistake. Plus, the premise of the show has never been about her dating younger men, it's been about a 40something, recently divorced woman learning who she is while living in a beautiful Sarasota-esque city.

Kevin Smith Kicked Off Southwest Flight for Being Too Fat {PopEater}

Feb 14th 2010 9:30PM Wow. For those of you that don't know, Kevin Smith is the writer, actor and director of such movies as "Chasing Amy", "Dogma", "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back", "Clerks", etc. He's a brilliant man that while overweight, I would never deem as too big to fit in an airline seat. Out of curiosity, did no one notice that it said he later took another SW flight? He landed safely and there were no issues with him on the later flight. In other words, I think the pilot decided to use his power to publicly humiliate him for no reason other than to embarrass him.

As a rather small woman who's had to squash against the window several times because someone rather large was sitting next to me, I can understand charging someone for two seats if they were causing undue stress to the person sitting next to them. However, having seen KS in several movies and in the different magazines, I do not see any reason why he should have been made to exit the plane because of safety. KS has a major lawsuit on his hands, just like the girl that was made to exit the plane cause her skirt was too short. SW needs to give their pilots a review on the proper reason for making someone leave the boarded plane. If KS was truly a hazard, he should have been informed earlier; that way he would have been able to get a different airline to transport him or, he could have bought two seats.

Personally, I'd have had no problems sitting next to KS in a flight from Oakland to Burbank. It's only an hour long flight, people!!!!!

Stevie Nicks Sings Backup for Taylor Swift at Grammy Awards {PopEater}

Feb 1st 2010 12:01AM You could see how excited Stevie Nicks was to be there; as in, she wasn't. Taylor Swift may be a great country singer but she should not being singing "Rhiannon", especially while making Stevie do back up!!! That's Stevie's song; always has been, always will be.

Travel Advice: Five ways to cope with bad restaurant service {Gadling}

Jan 27th 2010 8:50PM First off, you should post an article about how servers deal with difficult, rude, idiotic patrons.

What I find hilarious is the fact that you finish all of this with the tip to the server. If the service is horrible (empty drinks, server never checks on you, etc), that's one thing, if it has anything at all to do with the kitchen and sometimes bar, it's out of the servers hands and I guarantee the server is in the back complaining about it to our manager. As a server I can tell you that 90% of the time it is NOT the servers fault that something is going wrong. Chances are it's other guests that are causing a backup in a restaurant (I work at a buffet with a show, when people sit through the show 3 times, that means two table of people could have come in, but now have to wait. We can't kick them out, as much as we'd love to!!), it's the guest that gets up and HUNTS DOWN the manager that causes it to be harder to get the manager at your table in a decent time frame, it's the idiotic guests that don't know what they want and/or ordered that causes the server to be away from your table for the 5 seconds you were searching for them, it's the moron that sends the server back over and over for things they should have realized they needed in the first place. I literally cannot count how many times I've gone up to a table to check and see how everything is, they say it's great and then find out they needed something. Newflash!!! Servers are not mind readers, if you need something, ask us for it. If we forget it, we apologize, you're not our only table, we're human and stuff happens.

And just so everyone knows...a proper tip is now 18-20%, not 10-15%. A 15% tip tells a server either a) you're a cheap idiot (that probably ran us or were difficult and/or rude) or b) the service was horrible. Considering how many times I've had guest go to manager about how great their service was with me, I know it's not me, it's you. If you don't know how, or can't afford to tip, please stay home (or go to McDonalds) and stop wasting our time.

Where's the Gay Storyline in 'Valentine's Day' Trailer? {PopEater}

Dec 28th 2009 6:29PM I am very upset that they allude that Bradley Cooper's character is straight. What's the big deal? Staight men have been playing gay parts for years, why does Hollywood feel it's necessary to hide their characters' sexuality in this movie? Are that many people in the US homophobic?!?! I really hope not.

They might as well put it in the previews. Because if someone is going to be so upset over the gay story that they don't want to go see the movie, they'll also be so upset that they'll demand their money back. I say put the gay story line in the previews and let the ignorant, bigoted people stay at home.

Should overweight passengers pay extra for airline tickets? {Gadling}

Dec 11th 2009 12:53AM People keep mentioning the prospect of handicap or skinny people getting charged differently than "normal" people. How does that even make sense? A skinny person is only using one seat. The handicap person only takes up one seat. The person that is morbidly obese is taking up two. There's a huge difference between the two.

I've been stuck several times next to someone that was large on a flight. I am considered average in size and the fact that I've had to squash myself onto just one side of my seat is rediculous. I paid for a whole seat and only ended up using 3/4 to 1/2 of it. How is that fair? Should they have paid me for half of my seat? Would that make more sense? If they pay for two seats, everyone is happier and/or more comfortable. I can't imagine being stuck in a seat that is too small is particulafly comfortable. And there's always the choice of going first class if they're too big to fit in coach. I imagine two coach tickets are cheaper than one first class ticket with their larger seats and more leg room. Why should the rest of us suffer because they are too large for their seats?!?!

The Three Disgraces: Roman Polanski's Defenders {Politics Daily}

Oct 1st 2009 6:53PM The fact that all of these celebraties are backing him up makes me sick. She was 13 years old! She was raped! Anally, orally and vaginally! How can people say he's suffered!?!? What that little girl went through will never go away. And I'm sorry, I understand that what he and his family went through during the holocaust was tragic, and having Sharon Tate stabbed to death while 8 months pregnant was attrocious! But all of that's no excuse to drug and rape an innocent girl. I just hope he gets the same treatment when he does to jail that he gave that girl. Yes, I want him raped! Anyone that rapes should have the same done to them so they understand how it feels to be degraded, treated like an object, etc.

Rheinhart Moxon, is it really necessary to bring up how many republicans have commited crimes? What does that have to do with this story? Nothing! So politians have commited crimes...shocking!!! And if you're gonna point fingers at Republicans...I just have one name for you...Ted Kennedy!

Out of curiosity...does anyone know why a 13 year old was left with him, a man over 40?

Kanye West Asked to Leave VMAs After Taylor Swift Rant {The Boombox}

Sep 14th 2009 3:30PM How can u even say that? Kanye has proven over and over again that he is racist. I guarantee that if it hadn't been Taylor Swift, a white country star, winning the award, he would have stayed in his seat. As Taylor started saying before she was so rudely interuptedm she never thought she'd win the award because she is country and MTV isn't exactly known for playing country videos. And what does the arrogant Kanye do? Take the spot light from the 19 year old for no reason other than he's racist, arrogant, ignorant, shall I go on? I really hope Jay-Z decides to do whatever he can to ruin Kanye's time in the sun. And Beyonce showed class, flat out class. Kanye should take lessons from her.

Kellie Pickler Takes a Pop Quiz {The Boot}

Sep 6th 2009 10:13PM I can not believe that ignorance such as yours still exists in this world. It's not the color of someone's skin that matters, it's their actions. And your actions to me signify that you are an inbread, backwoods, uneducated person that needs to have some sense smacked into you. My (white) family is from WV and no one would ever make a comment like that because they are loving Christian people. I think that Taylor's ability to work with other genres show that she is an intelligent open person that has more love in her than you could ever hope for.

Out of curiosity, would you say the same thing about Tim McGraw? I'm pretty sure he still sells out concerts left and right and yet...didn't he do a duet with a prominent black singer by the name of Nelly? I believe he did! Tim doing the duet just showed the music world that two completely different artists are able to work together. Go "get some learnin" in your backwoods little world and please stop making comments. Your ignorance comes out too loud and clear.

Rediscovering Facebook {Politics Daily}

Aug 31st 2009 2:00AM Mia, I had a friend take their life almost two years ago and I still go to his MySpace page every once in a while to feel close to him. It's horrible that it had to happen, but at least you're still able to reconnect to your cousin via Facebook, at least see her in happier times.
