May 20th 2013 12:37PM As a landlord myself, 7 single family ranch homes i say more power to him,, i only give 1 yr and month to month leases and i raise my prices at least yearly, to you it is a place to live to me it is my hard earned money invested and working for me, i lose some tenants/big deal/ i have 10 waiting in line for the house, i have the right o monthly inspectins on 2 hour notice, if any incidents requiring police it is reason for eviction, complaints from neighbors are reason for eviction, not keeping the outside lawn up is reason for eviction, i run a tight ship and could care less if the renters like it,,it's my house you are just using it

Feb 9th 2013 11:39AM Story leaves out details, was he the original person in the area? did others build their homes around him? if so its the same old thing,just like people who build by an airport then try and get the airport closed down, like my rifle club it is the only thing in several miles sits in a flood plain by the kansas river has been there since 63 now new homes have went up within a couple miles distance and the a holes complain about hearing the sound of guns, they try legal action to get it closed and it costs lots of money from the 300 members to fight the complaints, if the man and his animals were there 1st they need to shut up and leave him alone

Jan 23rd 2013 11:35PM on things that go bad, hotwater tank, faucet gaskets etc. sure, but i have in my agreement things like window breakage'you or your kids or guests break it you fix it, i give them 24 hours to arrange the repair if they choose not to i can do it and add the repair costs and my time into the rent, same with any thing else that would not normally break,,, if they choose to fight me, i give them their 30 days,, i have plenty of others to rent to , also 2 visits from the police in a 6 month period you are out, i will not have bad behavior impact the neighbors, i enforce strict rules that are in writing, you want to live like a pig, live elsewhere
