Apr 24th 2007 4:12PM I pretty much took this whole thing as a joke. Maybe I should look at it a little more seriously.
Microsoft(Bill Gates, et al) perfected a pretty marvelous technical wonder, and shares globally.
Now comes Google--with their "big brother" act, controlling our use, gathering all types of info about users, usurping our privacy, et. etc. I don't need them!!
Microsoft, as deserved, is riding on the top wave, is still gaining knowledge, is innovative, and still willing to share as he continues to better his product. I don't find any unjust controls there!
But if we want to talk controls---lets get it right!
Lets talk about controls on medicine, gasoline, utilities, and my personal fave--immigration!
Why are we giving illegals excellent medical care, schooling, Social Security, housing, jobs, changing OUR language etc etc.
This is AMERICA!! Lets get first things first. Take care of the Citizens---deport the illegals!! They are criminals!
We are actually putting ourselves at risk of legal action by aiding and abetting these crimianls.
THESE ARE ALL RELATIVELY MINOR THINGS---WE ALSO HAVE MUCH BIGGER ISSUES TO CONSIDER.
This little squabble between Microsoft and Google seems pretty insignifigant, doesn't it---except they, along with soo many others, especially politians, are trying to infringe on our American Rights. Those are fighting words to all Americans!

Apr 24th 2007 3:32PM I have, pretty much, taken this whole thing as something of a joke, but mybe I should look at it in a more serios way.
Microsoft (Bill Gates-et al) perfected a marvelous piece of technology that has proven to be a global wonder. They, as deserved, are riding the top of the heap of wannabe's.
Now comes Google, with some useful technology, that he wants to slap limits on and place controls on who and how we use his technology. I, for one, don't need him!! If we want to talk controls---lets talk something important---like controls on medical costs, controlling "out-of-control" politians--China--my personal fave--immigration!! This is Amieica!!! Why are we giving more to illegals in the form of welfare, Social Security, jobs, excellent medical care, etc.etc. and depriving citizens of these same kinds of benefits? Lets work together and try to get it right---CITIZENS FIRST---deport the illegals. They are criminals and we put ourselves at risk of criminal action by aiding and abetting these criminals.
MAKES MICROSOFT AND GOOGLE SEEM A LITTLE INSIGNIFICANT BY COMPARISON, DOESN'T IT??
