Moore Lashes Out on CNN {News Bloggers}
Jul 10th 2007 1:17PM People, people, people, really, do you think you are in the most advanced medical care program in the world. Well, hell no, you ain't. How's that for proper English? I saw Sicko and let me tell you I'm sick about how poorly we treat our citizens health problems. All of you who think MM is a dumbass, or fat whatever, are no doubt very young and in good health. Those of you that think MM is a dumbass and fat whatever, haven't lost someone they love in the Iraq war or have had someone dear and close to their heart ready to go to Iraq. If any of you who complain about him have really seen any of his films, followed up on his "rantings" as you call them, you would have seen he is right. Remember, a film crew goes with him into each and every venue you complain that he is fabricating, filming real live people, situations and commentaries, and you don't get that it's for real.
But you'd believe the print media, the news media and your politicians. Those whose only object in life is to make money and twist the facts so that you never really can learn the truth. Thank God for the Michael Moores in our lives.
Will Blake or Jordin become the next American Idol? {AOL TV}
May 22nd 2007 4:37PM I agree with #17, the voting is done by asinine kids and pre-teens who wouldn't know talent if it hit them in the face. How could they when they listen mostly to hip-hop or rap. Songs and tunes that have no range, memorable melody, or recognizable words. I am in my twenties, have an active social life and would like to hear music that actually is music. Therefore, those voting do not know or cannot hear true voice or tonal music. Squirmming around on the floor, jumping all over the place, singing jazz phrases in the middle of a song, (makes me think they forgot the words) does not enhance their performance for me. Look at me when you sing, walk around and move your body to the beat, smile, look emotional, good or sad, and sing in tune and on key. When you can determine that all these parts are working vote for the one who has it. Looks, dress, jumpiness, does not count when voting. The professionals will take care of all that - you vote for their talent and then the really true one wins. Jordin may be young, but remember Lee Ann Rhimes, she was only 14 when she began, and Charlotte Church was 12 or 13. They had talent to begin with and then went on to become stars.
Kanye West Likes Porn {AOL Video Blog}
May 14th 2007 11:43PM
Not a single one of you can spell. Not a single one of you can put together a grammatically correct sentence. Why don't all of you spend time trying to speak the English language properly and forget about what some get rich quick rapper does or says. First of all, Kanye's English is perfect,since his mother is or was a teacher of English. He does not come from a poor or disadvantaged background. At least he admits to liking porn unlike all those who say they never watch it, but like the very young girls, for exactly the reason they watch porn. Don't judge anyone because of their color, tastes, celebrity status, or money. Jealousy is a lousy companion.
Boycott Rosie? {AOL Video Blog}
Apr 11th 2007 12:19AM Every comment I read on Rosie tells me that not one of you are better than she is. What is wrong with you people that the only comment you have is about her looks, weight, and he sexual proclivity.
If what she said sparks conversation and/or debates among your family and friends, than on that level she did you a favor. But if all you can talk about is nonsensical things about her personnaly you are all sick. And, therefore, if all you do is read what the newspaper or media have to say about terrorists, then you definitely can't critisize Rosie. Because the newspapers and media distort the news as they see fit. You have to read books, journals, listen to foreign broadcasts to understand how America is viewed. And let me tell you, we're in deep trouble around the world. Maybe if most of you were a little more intelligent and well read you might find that what she said isn't so far fetched. You don't have to agree with her,but you do need to learn the true facts and not attack someone for their looks. That is so childish.
Lil Jon's Necklace Sets Bling Record {Luxist}
Apr 2nd 2007 3:22PM Folks, it does not matter whether Lil'Jon can sing,or how much bling he wants. It does not matter what color a person like him is. And it does not matter what his I.Q. is or how much money he makes. What does matter is that the 'have-nots' in this world want what he has showing, regardless of his talent or charity works. So, those who think their entitled to it also, (color is not an issue here) go out and steal, maim or kill for that bling, sneakers, cars, whatever. So, if you really don't like it, or find it steriotyping or embarassing, get vocal about it. Don't buy the records, don't go to their concerts,turn off the radio station that plays it, the message will get through. There is certainly decent rap music, hip=hop music if that is your choice that doesn't demean women, children, and sex but takes it out of the gutter, and gutter
language and puts it back into decent society and morality. Remember, you have the power to change things, all Lil'Jon has is the power that you give him to act irresponsibly.
Monday Morning Poll: What Was The Best And Worst Oscar Moment? {Cinematical}
Feb 26th 2007 4:04PM I must agree with the majority of you folks. Yes it was one of the most boring Oscar shows I've seen in a long time. In fact, I turned it off at 11pm, before even knowing who won for best picture, actor, director, song, etc. At that point, I didn't care who or what won. It's so political anyway, and I truly believe it's not their peers voting for them, but the studio heads and the studios themselves.
Also, do any of these people have mirrors in their homes. Do they see how ridiculous they look in some of these "Designer" clothes. More so, do they get to see themselves as to how they'll look on TV and not to their peers. My god, it looks like these "designers" design a dress they would like to have seen being worn, but could care less how they look on the person wearing them. Even the jewelry wasn't so great this year. An example, Jennifer Hudson's dress, which didn't fit her, plus that stupid silve jacket she wore over it on the red carpet, and Abigael Breslin's dress. Too much dress for such a tiny lady. The picket fence garden on top and the blousy, bafoon (not misspelt) bottom. But, let's be honest with ourselves - do you really think Hollywood cares what the public thinks? When we put our money where our mouths are, they'll listen. Meaning if a movie is raucous, violent, horrendous, language inappropriate, for you or your family, pass the word along and ask friends and family not to see it. Write to the studio, the newspapers, magazines, wherever you can get a forum to be heard and express your feelings. Don't assume it's someone else's job to do it, you do it. I, personally, will not see scary, chain saw, snakes, or just violent movies for the sake of a movie. They are just not movies worth my money. You like them you see them, and don't complain about bad movies getting awards.
K-Fed on the catwalk? {Stylelist}
Oct 9th 2006 2:29PM Mr. Loo, have you not been paying attention? No one seems to care about K-Fed's style, music, choices, or his celebrity. So why would anyone care to buy your clothes based on his appearance in your ads?
Vintage clothing has always been for losers who thinks it makes them stand out as different. They have yet to realize that it's different in a negative way,not a stylish way. It is rare, and I do mean rare, that someone can pull vintage clothing off and make it look good. And it won't be K-Fed who will do that job for you.
House: No Reason (finale) {AOL TV}
May 24th 2006 2:19AM I love House. I don't like the low voices and a lot of the technical/medical talk that goes over my head. The girl in the group is the most lack luster person I have ever seen in such an incredible show. She never smiles and mumbles all her words. The English guy talks with such a thick accent he, too, is difficult to understand. Which brings me to another point. Since Hugh Laurie is English, why do they make him speak with an American accent. I'll never understnd that about TV producers. You are what you are. Who cares if you have an accent. Just speak clearly and talk up so no one has to strain their ears. But mostly, if you're going to talk medical terms, make it so the audience can understand what is being said and why that particular test is being given.
Top Ten Summer Resorts {Luxist}
May 16th 2006 3:17PM Prices would have been nice. I am not one of those fools who say "if you have to ask you can't afford it.'
I didn't get rich by not asking. So an approximate price for each of the above gorgeous resorts would have been helpful in helping me decide which one to choose.
Katie Holmes' parents not allowed to see baby for 2 weeks {ParentDish}
May 13th 2006 5:56PM I don't feel sorry for Katie. She's an adult. If she didn't get any feedback about Tom from all his girlfriends than she's made her own bed. What bothers me the most, is Nicole Kidman's remark. I'd like to consider it taken out of context and I'd like to consider it just a passing remark in reference to how he's handled their divorce and remains in contact with his adopted children. But if saying "I still love Tom"
then she's got a big problem. There is nothing about him to love, in my opinion. He does nothing with his fame and money but tout Scientolgy, like that's a religion. Come on it's more like a cult and he needs to be deprogrammed.
