Why I am leaving AOL {The Brian Alvey Weblog}
May 24th 2007 9:45PM Well I always wanted to be a shrimp boat captain. Maybe there is hope for me yet. Best wishes, and thanks for rescuing me from the Search Marketing doldrums.
Why I haven't taken over the World. {Craigsblog}
Apr 12th 2007 4:50PM One of the answers we figured was hatch new chickens 5 months before easter so they were producing, and then someone asked -- does that mean that right after easter the old birds are slaughtered -- funny how chicken soup was the special in all the delis this week.
So I tried that light trick with my bunnies to extend their daylight hours, but I never could get any cadbury eggs out of them :)
Asimov's Three Laws of SEO {Craigsblog}
Apr 5th 2007 1:33PM Unfortunately, I am not a VP of said company or I would feel more able to give examples of how breaking these rules can have very dangerous consequences.

Mar 31st 2007 10:11PM Yes this is excellent -- that wikipedia photo for Brian was starting to get a little stale -- this would be so much better.
EyeTracking & EyeTracker hardware/software {The Jason Calacanis Weblog}
Mar 29th 2007 12:18PM At Did-it we got a ton of publicity on an Eye Tracking study we did about what get the most visibility on Search Engine pages. I don't have the details of who did the study, but you can ask Kevin Lee your old neighbor from 7th Ave.
Potent potables for 200 {The Brian Alvey Weblog}
Mar 27th 2007 3:05PM Some things are supposed to take time. Tea is exactly one of those things. Start with hand picked white tea, tippie tea the youngest leaves hand rolled and dried on racks.
Brew it with hot water -- not boiling -- most tea kettles are too hot and make the tea bitter, steap the tea for 6-8 minutes then remove the tea bags let cool to room temperature.
Refridgerate the tea for a couple hours. Now you have something more than your everyday lipton, you have tea for a perfect afternoon -- one like this one -- I like to flavor my tea with a little white grape juice.
Some things can only be appreciated when you put that extra effort in.
Google Adwords Tool... {alexrudloff.com}
Mar 25th 2007 7:17PM Yea, Always use all three variations of match types in paid search -- however without a good negative matching strategy you can quickly buy searches that are completely outside of your target audience.
SEO is not Rocket Science and might be BS {Craigsblog}
Mar 21st 2007 8:33PM A couple of points I'm going to elaborate on in the coming posts.
1) It isn't in the interest of the search engines to give the best and perfect answer everytime.
2) Users aren't asking the right questions.

Lee Gomes makes huge mistake in today's WSJ--I think a correction is in order. {The Jason Calacanis Weblog}
Mar 21st 2007 7:00PM I have checked the Alexa numbers against other sources that I'm not able to make public, and the trends are the same Netscape continues to tread water as it rebrands itself. Other Social News giants have lost tremendous readership since the holiday season.
