Michelle Hansen Tags Home With Message to Chase Bank: You're 'Stealing' My House {AOL Real Estate}

Feb 10th 2013 1:03PM I totally agree with those of you who "pay your bills". Too many people were looking for something big for nothing and overextended. We have made it way too easy for people to walk away from lawful contracts, also known as stealing. No sense of honor. These stories never tell the "rest of the story", the inconvenient details that would cause more people to walk away. You don't have to be a real estate wizard to know that if you can't pay your mortgage, you will lose your house.

Plan to Build Home on Top of Historic Heard Cemetery in Sandy Springs, Ga., Enrages Neighbors {AOL Real Estate}

Oct 8th 2012 12:43AM Remains are moved out of cemeteries often. No big deal. If we continue this way into the next thousand years, we won't be able to move without stepping on a grave. Cremation is the only reasonable solution. Cremate the remains and put them in a jar. The real story here is, who lives on the borders of this land and think that they are entitled to have open space next to them. Otherwise, this wouldn't be a story at all.

South Carolina Homeowner Says Facebook Photos Show Teens Broke Into Home, Threw Party {AOL Real Estate}

Oct 3rd 2012 4:34PM Roberta - no harm done? You little freak. Hope you come home some day and find out someone partied in your panties. Then we'll see if harm was done.

How YOU Would Solve the Mortgage Crisis {AOL Real Estate}

Sep 5th 2011 3:22PM People have "lost their homes" for hundreds of years. Nothing new here except for the numbers. Lots of people claim to have been "responsible" buyers, but few qualify. We bought our first home in 1970, our last in 2007. All four homes were job-related moves. Our rules were always the same: not to be "house poor"(house payment/expenses leaving no wiggle room), must be able to afford it on one income, and never ever take money out of your house for anything but major repairs or renovation of that house. Sure, we couldn't get the fancy house with the mandatory stainless steel/granite, etc., but we got nice, safe, homes. The last few years saw a totally different kind of buyer - the "I want it all/I want it now" generation of buyers, who had little or no grasp of or interest in learning about the real story of financing a home.

I'm sure some real sob stories can be told, but the fact is the best thing that could happen for the market right now is for people to just let go. Don't fight it, let the banks have the property. They're going to get it anyway, and all the delaying does is give the economy time to re-boot, giving the banks a bigger sale in the end. (I have a friend who lives outside Detroit. His home, bought the "right way" with a huge downpayment, is now hugely "underwater" (requiring $30,000 to "sell" it) and he was bitter, but all he asked was that the bank reduce his interest rate to make it easier to pay back. They said, no, and he said , fine, take the house.) Now what I also say is that cities and other governments need to step up their condemnation of vacant, uncared for homes owned by banks. That way the banks won't even have the property.

Santa Monica Latest City to Fight to Get Circumcision Ban on Ballot {ParentDish}

Jun 6th 2011 2:57PM "Circumcism and body tattooing and piercing minors should be banned. It's about a defensive child's right to make their own decisions when they choose to." A circumcism at birth is a moment of pain. If you let them "choose" when an adult, (or if medical problems force it), the pain goes on. I had an 11 month old have a hernia repair - in less than 24 hours, he was jumping up and down in his crib with a big smile on his face. My husband had a hernia repair when in his 20's. LOL - two weeks of grimaces. Kids heal fast.

Santa Monica Latest City to Fight to Get Circumcision Ban on Ballot {ParentDish}

Jun 6th 2011 2:52PM So another holier than thou group seeks to deny others something they themselves do not want. Sounds like a bunch of uncircumsized guys are getting heat in the locker room so their goal is to make everyone do as they do. BS

Octomom's Fertility Doctor Has License Revoked {ParentDish}

Jun 1st 2011 6:57PM Stupid board. This doctor IS deviant. He implanted excess embryos, endangering the patient, because the "patient insisted"? He implanted 12 embryos in a woman who already had SIX kids? She said she would do reduction? ONE was too many. And it took the board this long to suspend his license? He should also be responsible for reimbursing medicaid.

Stage Dads Proud to Hit the Beauty Pageant Circuit {ParentDish}

Jun 1st 2011 6:51PM This whole thing is so wicked. A bunch of goofy parents living vicariously through their kids. They should all be in therapy.

Halle Berry Talks About Custody Battle for Her Daughter {PopEater}

Apr 20th 2011 10:49PM That snap poll on Sheen's kids is totally stupid. To give people the choice of "neither" ?
What do you expect the judge to do, emancipate them? Stupid.
