Timex Enters The Diamond Watch Business {Luxist}

Oct 18th 2007 11:08AM One must remember that Timex as a brand is targeting the lower end of the market but that doesn't mean that they are excluded from trying to make their watches look nice. I am not a fortune teller so I won't go as far as to say that it will be successful but I think that upping the ante is always a good idea. It is true it is a bold step but I have to ask the question where would horology be if these steps were never taken.

The Wall Street Journal Looks Behind The Curtain At Antiquorum {Luxist}

Oct 10th 2007 11:44AM I have to agree with Mr. Harris on his point there. I too am involved in high end watches and the sheer amount of pssionate collectors that reside in this world is quite a high number. Even though I am no fan of Omega I see nothing wrong with what they are doing.

Cartier Ballon Bleu Watch {Luxist}

Sep 21st 2007 8:44PM A simply gorgeous watch, the first time I saw it was on the wrist of Lindsay Lohan. This is a welcome change to Cartier's lines which to be quite honest were getting a little boring. I think it is simple, subtle and suave.

Omega Double Eagle Co-Axial Chronograph {Luxist}

Sep 17th 2007 1:19PM I am not the biggest fan of Omega but golly this is beautiful. A watch like that would make anyone want to pick up golf.

Cartier Love Watches {Luxist}

Sep 14th 2007 8:46PM What's not to love about these ultra feminine timepieces from Cartier.

The Memoire1, A Mechanical Watch With A Memory {Luxist}

Sep 12th 2007 6:41AM People who aren't as au fait with the inner workings of a mechanical watch won't see the technical magnificence that is required to make this watch even remotely feasible. I am so entralled by the very concept. And because it is shrouded in mystery it makes it so much more alluring. As the previous comment held this is a big step for ML but I think this is a big step for horology on the whole.

Paul Picot Technograph Pave Watch {Luxist}

Sep 7th 2007 11:42PM Truly A phenomenal piece. Normally I wouldn't do diamonds in a watch for myself but here I'd have to make the exception. I am especially pleased with where they decided to place the chronograph's subdials. Paul Picot takes a rather mundane movement and makes it look royal. From someone in the industry I say bravo. The fact that it is in stainless steel also means that the price point isn't too prohibitive for such a rich looking watch.

Brietling Montbrilliant Legende Watch {Luxist}

Aug 30th 2007 4:06AM 47mm is a little too big for me but it doesn't take away the fact that it is still one impressive watch. I've noticed that Breitling is using a lot of rose gold. Possibly this could be a new trend for them.

Cartier Pasha Seatimer Gold Chronograph {Luxist}

Aug 30th 2007 3:50AM Cartier has done it again. Opulent curves and a strong sporty influence make this watch a must-have in anyone's collection. I especially like how they flatten the subdials in the chronograph. Tres Chic.
