"The Godfather" Home, Staten Island, N.Y., Estate of the Day {Luxist}

Dec 6th 2010 3:12PM Heh. I have to admit, I love how the name of the realtor's company is Profaci...the same last name as the founder of the Colombo crime family!

Mac 101: Making a fancy signature in Mail.app {TUAW.com}

Oct 16th 2010 9:13AM I guess I'm still old school. No HTML mail, no color, plain text. And, like the old days, respect the McQuary limit: you get 4 lines and 80 characters per line for your signature (and, really, try to stay at 72 chars)...unless you are Kibo: http://www.birdhouse.org/etc/kibosig.txt

The Setai Penthouse, Estate of the Day {Luxist}

Jun 21st 2010 3:15PM I like this. I really like this. I love how it doesn't look as cold and modern as many new high-rise penthouses look like.

May 18th 2010 5:47PM Dear Jeebus, it's like the photographer just got a tilt-shift fisheye lens. AAAAA!

Win An HP ENVY 13 Computer! {Luxist}

Sep 30th 2009 1:42PM Well, I imagine at some point I will have to give a talk here at work, and I'd use the Envy. And believe me, when I give a talk it's an adventure. Though the audience seems to use the word "ordeal"...

Win A Copy Of The Private World of Yves Saint Laurent & Pierre Bergé {Luxist}

Sep 21st 2009 1:47PM One of my most prized possessions is a proof coin I bought from the Mint. Not because it's super-rare or anything, but because it was something I bought as a grad student and it was a challenge to save up for it. Showed me I has some discipline.

Oh, and it's pretty.

REPORT: Giancarlo Fisichella, meet your new Ferrari race seat {Autoblog}

Sep 3rd 2009 6:33PM Perhaps Karun Chandhok will take the seat? Having Sutil and Chandhok on Force India would be nice.

Aug 27th 2009 1:02PM I think Electricpig got killed by gadget freaks around the world...

REPORT: Suzuka secures future of Japanese Grand Prix for three years {Autoblog}

Aug 24th 2009 6:55PM Yay for this! Any deal that takes one of Tilke's generic designs off the calendar is fine by me. For every Istanbul that Tilke designed (a great track with elevation changes), there is a Fuji or a Shanghai stinking up the Formula.

Suzuka, the crossover, the 130R...great news!

Microsoft's Wireless Comfort Desktop 5000: ready for Windows 7, just like your haggard Vista PC {Engadget}

Aug 5th 2009 10:20AM Wow, that tiny Esc key will be the reason I won't get this. When you use vim on an hourly basis like I do, you need Esc. (And, yes, I know you can map Tab or Caps Lock to Esc, but I use Tab and Caps Lock quite a lot in my coding. Besides, my hands can find Esc on my keyboard faster than I can type most words...muscle memory FTW.)
