May 4th 2011 5:33PM If "Hollerado" is supposed to be some kind of celebrity, I have never heard of him. I very STRONGLY disagree with his opinion about funding for the arts. We pay taxes for necessary services the government is supposed to provide. Arts is NOT necessary. If an artist is any good, he or she is welcome to compete for the disposable income of the public. We should not be taxed to pay for these things.

May 1st 2011 6:43PM The young couple value their privacy and would have preferred a small wedding in Kate's hometown with family and friends (no media). Due to William's station in life, a private wedding was not possible. The couple shared their special day with the world. They were very gracious and the wedding was a wonderful display of tradition, pagentry and joy. We all need occasions such as this and I thoroughly enjoyed watching the entire event as did most others.
Those who posted inappropriate comments on this site are to be pittied. They are undoubtedly narrow-minded and have no joy in their lives.

Dec 22nd 2010 1:23PM This sounds a lot like liberal spin. My guess is that these "jobs" will never materialize. Spain and Portugal tried this and lost jobs. Wind energy is very expensive and only works when the wind blows. To me, it seems like a collosal waste of money.

Sep 4th 2010 10:49AM 1. I have been buying generic for years so no savings for me. Things like paper towels, I have not even purchased in 15 years.
2. ATM fees; I only use my own bank machine so no fees for me.
3. Alcohol in restaurants. I do not even buy alcohol at a store and I rarely even go to a restaurant.
4. Have a land line that is included in package of internet and basic cable. Do not have a cell phone.
5. Never had a gym membership. I know I would not use it. Walking is free.
6. I have not purchased or rented CDs or DVDs in years.
7. Yes I pay for a once a month mani and pedi and it is worth every penny. I do not however pay for hair care as I do my own colour and cuts.
Here are some suggestions:
If your vehicle is 10 years old or more and it is paid for, do not pay for collision insurance. Insurance will only pay a miniscule amount even if your vehicle is totalled.
Do not pay to have area rugs professionally cleaned. Take them out to your driveway and power wash them. It takes 24 hours for them to dry.
Have your printer cartridges refilled at 1/3 the price of new.
Here is one of the best tips for saving money. Get rid of stuff. It is liberating to do so and you are far less likely to buy new stuff to replace it.

Apr 7th 2010 2:03PM I vote for the best dancer. Kate may be a great mom but she is NOT a dancer. She tried hard but it is obvious that she has two left feet and no musicality. It takes a brave person to dance in front of millions of people and I give her credit for just being on DWTS but it is a dance contest and she will undoubtedly soon be thanking her partner for the final time.
