Jul 13th 2010 4:21PM These "first time cruisers" are M O R O N S and deserve whatever they got. I highly suspect that this is a ficticious story and the couple is fake. The real point of the story is to
share with potential cruisers what is and isnt to be expected, therefore they used a fake
scenario to extrapolate from.
Anyone who has ever cruised knows that when you check in you GIVE THEM A CREDIT CARD and it is attached to your room keys account. You are also explained that all charges will be placed on that account. What stupid person wouldnt know that the drinks that they must give their room key in order to get, isnt going to be charged for it. What stupid person
going into a reservation dining room that clearly states the additional fee charge on the menu
or somewhere in the print text, would think that a high end meal was "free".
This is a stupid article meant for stupid people who have no common sense.
Finally . People who take budget cruises need a reality check. YOu are not going on a high end cruise, you are not socializing with high end people, and you are not getting high end service. ITS B U D G E T . Stop expecting more then what you paid for.
You want that kind of service and treatment ? save up more money and take a decent cruise, then you will see the difference. Americans... they all want something for nothing and feel they are more important then they are........

Second. When the public stops putting royal crowns on other people simply
because their job involves being on a tv. Then everyone will be considered
the same.
The fact that Americans put such a high emphasis on "celebrities" whether they do something great OR NOT, means that situations like this are just gonna happen. Celebrities become used to being "above everyone else". the rules dont apply to them, or they should immediately go to the front of the line.
Is it their fault that they have become accustomed to this type of behavior and belief? NO it's our fault for instilling it in them with our stupid adoration of them..

I dont give a rats ass that there was not a customs agent available. Even if there was not one on site at the time they could have called one in to work and have been there within the hour. Those are EMPLOYEES they live at least an hour from where they work just like all of us do. Im sick of BS answers from large corporations all coming up with excuses why they CANT do something instead of why they CAN do something. Even without a customs agent, they could have piped in AC, or moved all of the passengers to a secure private room until the situation was corrected. For Virgin to release a statement saying
"customer safety is our primary concern" is just disrespectful, meaningless, and political bullshit. ITS ALL ABOUT LIABILITY and thats all they are concerned with.

and pass judgment on her, or anyone else for that matter. I am really sorry that her "come back" has failed. Perhaps she simply wasnt ready for it yet. None of us knows that.
What I will share with you all is the one experience I had with Whitney Houston years ago
that lost me as a fan. She was performing
in Northern Virginia and several of us drove up
to see her in concert. This was when she was just on the other side of her huge success career etc. (the point where celebrities begin to belive that the rules dont apply to them, and that they are better then the rest of us.).
AT the concert, once she began (almost an hour late), all of the dance songs that we all loved and came to hear, she re produced them on stage as all slow ballads, and those slow songs, she sped up the tempo to make them totally different as well. If memory serves it was about at song #3 that the audience started booing her for the unexpected re-arrangements. She stopped mid song and said the following to the audience. I can quote it to this day. " They are MY SONGS and I will sing them however I like, and if you dont like it you can kiss my ass". This the comment made to people who paid 110.00 for a ticket to see her and paid for her records to give her that very life she had QUICKLY become accustomed to. If you all remember the interview that she did several years ago, even then she was
a disrespectful "diva" who believed that she was
"above we common people". Barbara Walters asked her "Whitney, what is the hardest part of being a celebrity and having so many people who love you". Her response.. " I hate all those people who yell out that they love me, I have plenty of REAL people who love me, those people dont love me, and I dont need their "love". Another sign of a human being given too much power too soon and no one to guide them through it all.
I feel sorry for her. Its simple to say "she deserves it" etc etc. But as much of a
pain in the butt guy as I am, its still not my role down here to judge her . I can only react to my own interaction with her and choose to move on and close that door. Why do we need to kick someone when they are clearly, DOWN
Lets hope she finds some peace in whatever chaos she has made for herself.

Its solely about THE BOTTOM LINE. The days of " please enjoy your flight" and more rediculous "We love to fly, and it shows", these days are gone.
Americans have no one else to blame but themselves. The CEO's want their
big $$ packages and are out the door only to be replaced with the next CEO who
falls in line for his $$ package. The American people are so apathetic on almost
every aspect of their rights, that they dont spend two seconds making their voice heard because they assume "someone else" will speak on their behalf. Well,
that "someone" also has their hands in the till as well. Just like the current
debacle in the Gulf with the oil. 90% of Americans say "oh thats awful, quickly followed by "how much will shrimp cost me at the grocery store". We all want someone else to fight for us and do the work for us. History lesson, the middle class always loses. And that is because its we, the middle class who
dont fight for anything and take what we are given. This keeps the rich, rich, and the poor, poor. Problem is, the middle class is quickly becoming the poor
as well. If you want change, get up off your butt and be pro-active. Stop waiting for someone else to fix the mess. Delta Airlines needs a total re-vamp of their executives and decision making people. Stop buying their tickets when you hate their service, simply because they are the cheapest. You send no message that way other then, " im willing to put up with it". You have a voice now use it.
