Most Americans Believe Single Motherhood Is Bad for Society, Survey Finds {ParentDish}

Feb 18th 2011 2:58AM Whatever. I just left an extremely abusive man and if a few people disagree with me, so be it. I'm NOT staying with a man who beats his own children and wife. He's from a very affluent family and should know better. I had to choose the lesser of the two evils and being a single parent is much harder, but that's what I have to do. I have 3 sons ages 5 and under. Single parenthood often isn't a woman's first choice, but sometimes it's the best one. Instead of being so judgmental, why not be supportive? It takes a village...

Khloé Kardashian Brown Hair: E! Tells Her to Change Color {Stylelist (Main)}

Jan 19th 2011 7:43AM "natural blonde?!" That is a big fat LIE. In every childhood pic she has BROWN hair. In the pics of her with blonde hair when she's older she has BROWN ROOTS. None of the Kardashians are natural blondes.

A Good Night's Breast: Does Breast-Feeding Mean Less Sleep? {ParentDish}

Dec 26th 2010 4:45PM OK so breastfeeding 3 babies for 3 months each makes you an expert? What are you trying to prove? And why?? I breastfed 3 babies for ONE YEAR EACH. I don't go around bragging about it to make myself seem superior or put down women who choose to formula feed. I mention it here just to say it was the easiest and best decision for me and MY kids. I am not going to bash any woman for choosing or having to formula feed or breastfeed. It's none of anyone else's business what a mom decides to give her baby to eat so long as she is doing her best to ensure the child has adequate nutrition. If formula feeding is what you want or need to do, then do it and don't feel guilty. If it's breastfeeding, again don't feel guilty.
As a mother we're all bombarded with advice and ideas from other people, then we also have to deal with passive-aggressive fools who try to bash our decisions or make themselves feel superior for their own. I'm a good mom, not because I breastfed but because I did what's best for me and my kids. As for sleep? I got 2-3hrs at a time for about the first 9 months for each kid, it was awful and I was a zombie. If my babies would have slept more with formula and thus me too I would've done it because I'd be more capable of caring for them in a less-sleep-deprived way.
I applaud women who breastfeed and women who formula feed, heck I applaud any mother who does the best for themselves and their child. If you don't, then that's your issue.

'Nikita' Premiere Review {AOL TV}

Sep 10th 2010 9:12AM I want to like this show. I really do. I saw the first episode, and it was...ok. I'm sorry but the casting director did not do a good job at all. The leading lady is just not believable because she doesn't look strong enough. I was a fan of the La Femme Nikita series where Peta was beautiful and buff enough to do what was needed. This girl looks like she'd break her bones if she tried to punch a guy. She looks maybe, what, 110lbs?
Also I agree with other comments that the "Michael" here is a huge disappointment and boring to watch. Amanda is great though. As for the rest? I'm undecided. Guess I'll have to watch and see how the story and their characters develop :)

'America's Next Top Model': Shockingly Skinny Model Stars in Video Clip - Is This a Sick Joke? {Stylelist (Main)}

Aug 12th 2010 1:52PM I am 5'11" and 115lbs. I've been skinny all my life. I am skinny BUT healthy. I gave birth to 3 very healthy 8 1/2lb baby boys. With each pregnancy I gained 40+lbs and lost it all within a year no diet or exercising. I have never been on a diet before. I eat some good food but a lot of junk food too (steak is my favorite food btw, ooh and stromboli!). Anyway I eat a **LOT** of food, my mom is skinny and her mom is skinny and her mom's mom etc etc. Some people just have a crazy-fast metabolism. I have to eat every 4hrs or I get lightheaded and dizzy, because my body burns food so quickly. That's the down side. That plus people always assume I don't eat or try to say I "need to gain weight" like it's easy - it's NOT! at least not for me. I'd be happier with 5 or even 10more lbs but whatever, no body is perfect and I am not going to worry about what other people think. Live for yourselves gals, not others. Take pride in what you have and enjoy.

Google Renames Itself Topeka, Continues Flood of April Fool's Jokes {Switched}

Apr 1st 2010 2:13PM Oh Courtesysignings, get a life. Better yet, get a sense of humor! It's April Fool's Day, and you only live once, so maybe you should try to just enjoy things and have fun.

Supermodel Mom Gisele Didn't Have to Wear Maternity Clothes {ParentDish}

Feb 7th 2010 11:48PM I just turned 30. I have 3 kids, within 4 years. I don't exercise at all, and I don't watch my diet (though I probably should for health reasons). I'm 5'11" and 124lbs. Lost it no problem each time. I didn't have to wear maternity clothes either but I did gain a good 40lbs. each time. That may sound great, but I spent the first 25 years of my life being slammed for being too skinny/scrawny. Women would roll their eyes at me and say I looked like a toothpick. Men would ignore me because they said I was too skinny and should eat more (I always ate alot). So it just goes to show nobody is perfect and if you listen to these models, quite a few of them were teased as children for being too tall or too skinny or both. We're all human and we all have feelings no matter what shape or size.

Desperate times: A bedlam of beauties at 'America's Next Top Model' auditions {WalletPop}

Mar 16th 2009 2:46PM this is why their standards should be higher. Lots of gals are under 5'7" - but very few are over 5' 10" which is what sells in the modeling industry. Fewer people = less mayhem. Also the cops should have done more crowd control, this is insanity. Why aren't those girls aspiring to become scientists or mathemeticians or use their brains, instead of just their bodies? What does this say about our society?....

8 Signs Your Relationship Is in Jeopardy {Personal Articles}

Nov 30th 2008 11:11PM well I am 21 yrs. old and I must say that the main reason any of us younger gals would even pretend to be interested in an old, creepy man would be money. Hey if a guy is going to use me for my looks and youth I'm going to use him for his cash. Guys don't get upset if you wind up getting used instead of doing the using!

Is Plus-Size the Average Clothing Size? {Shopping Articles Blog}

Oct 11th 2008 4:46PM I am 5'11 and weigh 124lbs after having 2 kids. growing up people made fun of me for being so thin, but I couldn't gain weight although I tried. Now all those people are obese and still have bad personalities, and make fun of people fatter than they are. It goes to show that an ass is an ass regardless of size!
