Burger King's Whopper Virgins campaign -- some video's out now, you can judge for yourself {WalletPop}
Dec 2nd 2008 11:02AM So, BK wants to film villagers in a remote parts of the world, expose them to the Whopper and Big Mac, thus breaking their burger "virginity" and broadcasting their reactions to the rest of the BK eating world. That leads us to believe, if someone living far from preservatives, trans fats, etc enjoys this sandwich, we should too, afterall, their opinions are much more "pure" being they are burger "virgins".
I'm sure we can expect 'Remember your first time...' ads from BK for the rest of 2009. I'm not offended but I do think they should be honest with their latest subjects. It's the person's choice to try a new food item but they need to know what that entails. As for BK, I think they need to get their heads out of the gutter, I know sex sells but this is reaching sleaziness.
At this rate, we can look forward to the saga of the Burger "Pimps" to compliment those who label themselves "Burger Whores".
Texas' Buck Burnette Learns Why Racist Obama Facebook Updates Are Dumb {Fanhouse NCAA Football Blog}
Nov 7th 2008 11:31AM Free Speech should be protected in this country, however, everyone knows it doesn't protect you when speak certain words in relation to our Commander in Chief.
On that note, what this young man said was grossly inappropriate. "Hunters get your guns..." what exactly is he saying?? This speech is about violently revolting against our President. That's not protected by the First Amendment nor should it be. He didn't have to make light of the election and I'm happy he has paid for this action in this way.
You can't yell fire in a movie theater and you can't go around using speech that talks about harming our President. Everyone knows that. He knew it too.
He's very lucky he didn't elaborate further.....he'd be in jail before sundown with his fellow "hunters".
Grow up and have more respect for your country and the President.
Hot Seat: Joe the Plumber {Politics Daily}
Oct 17th 2008 3:26PM I think this man is a plant. The news media no matter how biased, cannot force you to go on programs or interview via phone, etc. If he wants privacy, all he needed to do was refuse to talk. Also, he could have easily contacted Obama's campaign office or website to ask his misleading question.
The bottom line, Joe can learn how to tell the press no. Otherwise, he's going to have to take criticism as people now recognize him for his ambition of owning a plumbing business. He cannot erase history but he can stop the attention at any time.
Hot Seat: October Surprise {Politics Daily}
Oct 16th 2008 1:51PM McCain and Palin like to hide behind small town people as their base. They claim that only a couple of nuts attend the rallies and say silly things.
It's what I've heard all my life---don't judge them, they don't know any better. Well, as an adult, I'm sorry--I believe many of these people know better or should by now.
What has been occuring at those rallies is a disgrace to America and its citizens. We live in a world with many races. And believe it or not, we all benefit either directly or indirectly from the labor of many races from many countries worldwide.
As a President, as a leader, as a person in charge of the safety and security of our nation, ---YOU MUST reach beyond Joe Sixpack and Hockey Moms and extend your hands to EVERYONE! That should be the focal point of any Presidential Campaign.
No birthday cakes for these school kids {That's Fit}
Apr 10th 2008 9:48AM Cake doesn't have to be the cornerstone of the celebration at school but for home I think it's fine. The school could do a mini celebration day for all the children celebrating birthdays for each month. Again, fruits have plenty of sugar, there are other alternatives for cakes--i.e. carrot cake, or they could offer the kids minature sweets combined with a extra playtime for that day.

Mar 29th 2006 12:23PM Paula skates over constructive criticism. But she did look tired during the first couple of episodes. I don't doubt there's something going on with the judges. I think Simon is tired of doing this show. And Paula physically may not be able to continue for a long period. Randy looks cavalier too. Like he could either continue or do something else.
I think American Idol has about couple more seasons until things will start to fall apart. It was good while it lasted but now we are seeing its descent.
