Blue Posts: MoP account-wide achievements, phasing, authenticator troubles, Battle.net Balance {WoW}

Feb 7th 2012 11:44AM There should be an account-wide achievement that if you get Insane on more than one character, they reward you by offering to hire a professional resume writer for you, a recruiter to find you a job, and/or counseling services (offline, of course).

Blue Posts: MoP account-wide achievements, phasing, authenticator troubles, Battle.net Balance {WoW}

Feb 7th 2012 11:37AM I suspect supply will quickly grow to the point that it will take so long to make enough to pay for your WoW sub that you won't actually have any time to enjoy WoW. But I hope it works for you; it's the same thing I'll be trying :)

World of Warcraft patch 4.3.2 64-bit client download and information [Updated x4] {WoW}

Jan 31st 2012 3:52PM Still waiting for one that can use any/all 6 of my cores. :) Also, good lord, update the graphics. At least the character maps.

The OverAchiever: The worst (maybe) holiday achievements {WoW}

Jan 26th 2012 6:30PM I hated School of Hard Knocks when I did it, but looking back, it wasn't the hardest for me. I just hadn't done battlegrounds before. And those of us who were new caught grief over it, until people figured out we'd just clog their games until we got our achievements, so it was better to not hinder us.

Actually, the worst for me might have been the flame baton tossing catching during the Midsummer Fire Festival, because at the time I was playing exclusively on a Macbook, without a mouse. That meant either keyboard turning (doomed to fail by design, I suspect) or using the trackpad. I eventually got it on my old main, but gave up trying on my alts. Now, even though I play on a desktop with mouse (the Macbook is too slow to do anything but bank alt type stuff now) I still cringe, partly because I still keyboard turn a lot :)

BTW, it took me 13 months to finish. It was actually something in Brewfest that I had to repeat. Getting free 310% flying was so awesome, too, especially once it rolled to other mounts. (I originally chose tailoring specifically to get flying carpets for my lock, so of course I wanted to use them whenever possible.)

RIFT introduces 3-month, 6-month, and yearly subscription plans {Massively}

Jan 16th 2012 8:05AM @Floop the Squirrel Actually these aren't even the cheapest multi-month rates... I'm still listed as $36something for 3 months because when they first came out with the veterans' rewards they had a discount deal. 3 months at a time is a good compromise for me, so I'll stick with it for a while.

The Daily Grind: Do you play in self-enforced hardcore mode? {Massively}

Jan 11th 2012 1:31PM My first death on a character in WoW is always between levels 5 and 10, when I try to see how many enemies I can successfully kill at once. I expect it as part of tweaking how I play that character. I'd never get anywhere useful if I had to go hardcore.

Enter at Your Own Rift: Of apps and patches {Massively}

Jan 8th 2012 9:36PM I hope they release a "collector's" version of 1.8, if not also 1.7.
I'm a mount and pet junkie (collector's loot), and of course another huge bag would be useful as well :)

Enter at your own Rift: A holiday wish-list for Telara {Massively}

Jan 1st 2012 9:00PM @fallwind Are you kidding? A couple days after I joined WoW was when the plague hit (yes, years ago). So on my very first time to walk into Ironforge, I was like, "Hey, neat, a city underg-- OMG, what just happened to me? What's going on?" And then I died. At first, I was furious at people who deliberately infected me, but then I laughed, and thought it was awesome.

Trion Worlds customer database hacked, 'no evidence' credit card info stolen {Massively}

Jan 1st 2012 8:49PM @Mikx It's not even a useful piece of gear for most players, because they have experience trinkets under level 20 and stat trinkets somewhere over that.

The Perfect Ten: Most significant MMO stories of 2011 {Massively}

Jan 1st 2012 8:41PM @(Unverified) What's wrong with the art style? :)
I find it to be beautiful, especially after I bought myself a new graphics card for my birthday and switched to the real renderer. WoW now seems pretty chunky by comparison, whereas before, when I was using the low-quality renderer, they seemed much more similar.

It definitely seems less busy than it did when I started a few months ago, though.
