Jan 15th 2011 9:43PM In response to the discussion about keeping cats indoors vs. outdoors. I really think this is a matter of where you live. We live in east TN in the mountains on 30 acres of land and we are surrounded by forest and pasture, our cats do fine. We have 8 cats, all indoor/outdoor and 8 dogs... all of our animals except 2, are rescued or were dumped in our yard and after trying to find good homes for them and having no luck, we kept them. All are spayed/neutered and vetted regularly. For the most part, the people in the south treat their animals like crap. They are left to wander around, many times they show up here hungry and our neighbor has had dogs hit by cars and STILL allows them to run around.
Our cats go out a few hours during the day (less in the winter) and are all in at night. We limit their outdoor time because we have coyotes. We go out after 30-40 minutes and round them all up and make sure they aren't in the woods, etc.
It really does depend on where you live and how safe it is for them outside, but if they are in no danger, there in nothing wrong with letting cats out. They LOVE playing in the shrubs and trees and hunting bugs, etc. This is what they were born to do.

There is an UNBELIEVABLE number of these bible banger kids who are pregnant as well. They go to youth group on Weds, Sunday school on Sunday and out fooling around in between... What's your response to that? The dems made them do it? your just another hater who loves to push the blame on everyone else... Maybe Sarah Palin has the solution?

If you want unemployment, food stamps, public assitance.. GO SEE THE ARK people!! Afterall, those tax payer incentives made it possible for you to have an ark so we used the money on the ark instead of feeding the unemployed, hungry and homeless. This is a DUMB idea and BAD timing makes it dumb... The last freaking this ANYONE in this nation needs is an ARK based on a MYTH that can't be proven, but if you wan't one, then WAIT until times are better so you don't look like a bunch of idiots. This is the exact reason why religious fanatics have no credibity and people are falling away by the thousands... $24+ million dollars could help an awful lot of people... but hey, let's build an ark that no one can afford to visit anyway.

Jul 19th 2010 12:18AM Hunter... you need to go back to law school, this happened to my brother-in-law. Collection agencies are the lowest of the low, they will abuse, manipulate, and misuse the system whenever they can. My family experienced this first hand. My BIL had a judgement for not appearing. He was never notified of the hearing to disclose his assets and was jailed for failing to appear. After $10K in legal fees, not only did he win, but he sued the collector (and won) who had over a million dollars in suits against them for violating the federal laws pertaining to collections as well as a boat load of complaints to the atty general.
It CAN happen and it DOES, regardless of what you were taught in law school.
Collection agencies are the lowest of the low.

AOL has nothing to do with the commenting system, if I read correctly, AOL has disabled their comments and are directing people to their Facebook page for commenting. Wallet Pop is just a partner. However, if I were AOL I would require any partners to make sure their commenting systems were SPAM free.

May 1st 2010 12:42PM M French, I was a single mom for 7-years, but then went into business for myself, did very well and have watched that business grow over the years. I went to school, got an education and when my marriage failed, I took responsibility for a bad choice and refused to let it stop me OR take handouts from the government. I worked at minimum wage jobs until I could afford to be self-employed full-time. I found a way to make a way. Then, guess what? I went out and bought a $1100 Chanel suit, $500 shoes to go with it and a $800 Coach bag! I treated myself to those things, Shhhhhh - I even bought a BMW. I don't owe those who CHOOSE to accept less than the best for themselves anything. I give where I choose to give to people I believe deserve it and for those who want to whine and envy others becuase they worked hard to have nice things... I say, WHATEVER! Get a life, stop knocking others for having one or for being sucessful. No one owes those making $7.50 an hour anything. It's up to them to find a way to make a better way. And There IS A BETTER WAY! I found it and proved it could be done. Get over your hate and jealousy. Just because tea baggers wear Wal MArt doesn't mean the First Lady of the greatest nation on earth has too also she does have an image to live up too.
