what mrs. e did was pull the curtain up a little on the puppet show, enough to reveal a few strings that anyone watching would know anyway. women are a political commodity. the black community is a political commodity. religion is a political commodity, just as patriotism and the gay community are as well. they and their issues are all bought and sold on the political market to set up and close deals. is it right and proper? hardly. but that's what's selling today, what's fashionable, and what media love to wrap their stories around. so mrs. e really isn't going that far out on a limb, just further than the other wags in the contest.
however, none of this cancels the fact that her husband john is a dweeb.
